Today, for students who want to join the ESG field, we will introduce in detail the preparation strategy for CPBA Business Analyst (ESG). The CPBA ESG exam is the leading ESG certificate exam in China, which not only uses Chinese as the test language, but also attracts many candidates to register, becoming one of the most popular exams in the domestic ESG field.

1. Registration time.

Usually scheduled in the month of each year, the exam is held in the month.

2. How to register.

Online registration and online payment are implemented. Candidates can register for the exam on the official website of the CPBA ESG exam within the specified time through an officially authorized test organization.

3. Examination time.

In principle, the examination is held 6 times a year, and the examination time is in the month. Each exam lasts 7 days, and the exam can be taken on any day during the exam period.

4. Overview of examination subjects.

The CPBA ESG test covers the two core subjects of "ESG Theory and Practice" and "ESG Case Analysis", and adopts an advanced electronic test format (i.e., computer-based test), which requires candidates to complete all the answers on a computer. The following is a detailed introduction to the key points of the examination of these two subjects:

ESG Theory and Practice.

This course is a closed-book examination consisting of 60 multiple-choice questions and 40 multiple-choice questions, and the examination duration is 120 minutes. The exam has a wide range of content and is designed to comprehensively assess candidates' theoretical cognition and practical application ability in the field of ESG. Candidates need to have an in-depth understanding of the core concepts, development history, future trends and challenges of ESG, as well as the requirements and practical application scenarios of various stakeholders in the ESG ecosystem. In addition, candidates also need to master key knowledge points such as ESG information disclosure standards, report preparation process, rating system, etc., and be able to use ESG business analysis framework to help enterprises solve practical problems, realize the organic integration of ESG and enterprise development strategies, and promote the sustainable and healthy development of enterprises.

ESG Case Analysis.

From March 2024, the new ESG Case Study course will be an important part of the exam. This course focuses on the practical application ability of candidates in ESG business analysis, report preparation, rating application, investment decision-making and information disclosure. The format of the exam is subjective, with a total of 5 questions, each question is worth 20 points, the total score is 100 points, and the passing score is 60 points. Candidates need to conduct in-depth analysis and give reasonable solutions according to the requirements of the question, combined with the knowledge they have learned and practical cases. This course is designed to test candidates' ability to comprehensively apply ESG theory and practice, as well as their ability to solve practical problems.

5. Certificate of conformity.

From 2024 onwards, the passing criterion for each subject is 60% of the full mark in the examination paper. The "ESG Theory and Practice" subject will be scored on the spot. ESG Case Study scores are released 15 working days after the end of the exam.

The results passed the audit and obtained the CPBA Business Analyst (ESG) certification jointly issued by the China Economic Data (Beijing) Data Application Technology Research Institute and the Market Research Branch of the China Information Industry Association (the electronic and paper versions of the certificate are issued at the same time).
