China's self-developed hydrogen helium separation and purification device has recently been applied to the first phase of the natural gas flash evaporation (BOG) helium extraction project in Luliang, Shanxi Province, and has successfully produced 99High-purity helium with a purity of more than 999%.
On February 21, it was learned that the hydrogen helium separation and purification device independently developed by the Engineering Technology Research Institute of China Research Group was successfully applied to the first phase of the natural gas flash vapor (BOG) helium extraction project in Luliang, Shanxi Province, and successfully produced 99High-purity helium with a purity of more than 999%. This marks an important technological progress in the field of helium extraction in China.

As a large helium-using country, China's demand for helium ranks second in the world, especially in aerospace, electronics industry, biomedical and other fields.
The newly developed hydrogen helium separation device can be easily integrated into a variety of BOG helium extraction systems, which can realize the coarse separation, refining and purification of helium in a room temperature environment, and the purity of helium produced gas can reach 99More than 999%, and at the same time, the purity can be obtained higher than 99999% hydrogen products. This technology realizes the maximum application of natural gas resources and provides a new way for the acquisition of helium resources, which is of great significance for improving the utilization rate of helium resources in China, reducing the dependence of helium on foreign countries, and ensuring the safety of helium use in China.
