February** Dynamic Incentive Program
The LED virtual studio in Vancouver, Canada was officially opened on February 9th, Vancouver time!
Located in the 44,000-square-foot (4,088-square-meter) Burnaby Film and Television Base in Vancouver, the studio features two large studios, including North America's first and largest wrap-around LED virtual studio, a 13,000-square-foot (1,208-square-meter) traditional studio, and a 10,000-square-foot (929-square-meter) film and television production office.
The Vancouver LED Studio adopts the latest LED ring screen technology, and the LED screen adopts the high-standard LED module customized by the company.
The studio is 83 feet (25 meters) in diameter and 29 feet (8.) in height8 meters), pixel pitch p18mm, with NVIDIA RTX 6000 ADA graphics card, 3The 1.5 billion pixel point-to-point driver can be used for direct shooting with 8K cameras and multi-camera shooting.
The Oscar winner participates in the top-screen matching design
The unique technical advantage of the LED studio is that the top screen and the ring screen are seamlessly connected, without covering, and the specifications are completely consistent. This is a standard that was first established by Bornto when designing the virtual production process, and has been highly regarded by the North American film and television industry for the great convenience it brings to filming.
This structure ensures that all the areas covered by the LED panels in the ring can be used for shooting, and the top screen is not only able to light and reflect, but also an important part of the scene.
During the design and construction of the Vancouver LED studio, Oscar winner D**e McIntosh was instrumental in the design of the top-screen package.
D**e is a well-known film mechanic who was involved in the invention of the inflatable green screen device, which was first used in the filming of the 2016 film Godzilla, for which he won the Academy Award for Technical Achievement.
D**E used his creativity and expertise to design and build the horse track and related mechanical mechanisms to match the LED top screen, ensuring that the crew can easily reach all parts of the top screen, efficiently remove or install the LED panels, and facilitate the various lights, WIA and other filming equipment carriers to achieve complex and expansive lens and stunt design.
"Using my years of experience in lifting, we have created a fully functional and easy-to-install top screen, with LED panels that can be easily removed and a wide range of camera equipment added as needed. This adaptability opens up new possibilities for filmmakers using virtual production, making it easier for them to shoot on a ring screen and achieve complex shots. This is a great example of collaboration in the film industry to drive innovation. ”—— d**e mcintosh

Embrace the globalization of virtual production
In 2021, the Vancouver branch of Polycis Media Canada was established, and the high-speed rehearsal studio was put into operation, and the virtual production system of Polycis Data Ecology opened the road to globalization.
The Vancouver High-Speed Previs Studio also inherits all of Bo's R&D efforts, enabling real-time multiplayer stunt motion capture, virtual scouting, previz, techviz and stuntviz.
To connect Vancouver previs to LED studio data, we partnered with Sohonet to improve our operational efficiency by providing production-grade connectivity and network infrastructure.
Founded in 1995, Sohonet is dedicated to the global network system of television, film and ** institutions.
