When it comes to liking the Three Kingdoms, apart from the Chinese, it is the Japanese and Koreans. Familiar with and studying the history of the Three Kingdoms, the Japanese are earlier than the Chinese, for example, the "Three Kingdoms Zhiping Words" that appeared at the end of the Yuan Dynasty has been lost in China, but it has been preserved intact in Japan.
In Japan, the circulation of the two books "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" and "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" is simply too widespread, in addition to the people who like to talk about it, the official also has special research, and every detail is studied thoroughly.
The Japanese have carefully studied the territorial area and population of the three countries, and they have made serious comparisons between the three countries. They believed that Wei was strong because they owned more than ten prefectures: Youzhou, Jizhou, Qingzhou, Bingzhou, Xuzhou, Yanzhou, Yuzhou, Sizhou, Yongzhou, and Liangzhou.
The state of Wu has the three states of Yangzhou, Jingzhou, and Jiaozhou, although the border between Yangzhou and Jingzhou is entangled with the Wei state, and it is also a large area. But Shu is really small, just has a state like Yizhou. Even if they don't feel good, they can be regarded as one more state after pacifying Nanzhong.
Judging from the map of the Three Kingdoms, in fact, the area of Wu and Shu is also quite large, but why not? Because many of their areas are uncivilized areas, in a word, they are places where there are no talents, and productivity is also very low.
The area of Shu State, the most critical and important is actually only the later Sichuan Province. Hanzhong is the front line, the border, and the productive forces are not easy to develop; The area of Nanzhong is also good, after all, it is not too obedient, and the production relationship is not good, so their core is still Sichuan.
But it is such a Shu State, I don't know why, it actually produced the highest proportion of officials in the Three Kingdoms. Supporting such a large contingent made the people of Sichuan miserable, and finally perished first among the Three Kingdoms.
Let's take a look at the population numbers of the three countries. The first is the weak Shu State, which has 280,000 households and 940,000 people; In fact, it is the Wu State in the middle, there are 5230,000 households, 2.3 million people; Finally, there was the powerful Wei state, which had 660,000 households and 4.43 million people.
Let's take a look at the three countries' financially supported populations, including army soldiers and officials. Shu has 10 soldiers20,000 people, 40,000 officials; Wu has 230,000 soldiers and 3 officials20,000 people. Unfortunately, there is no record in the history books of how many troops and how many ** officials Wei has, if you refer to Wu and Shu, it can be inferred that Wei should have 400,000 soldiers, and there are about 5 to 80,000 officials.
No matter how the three countries are calculated, the ratio of troops and officials is the highest in Shu. A small population supported such a large number of officials. It is equivalent to supporting 4 officials for every 94 ordinary people, which is quite a high ratio.
There are few who live, and many who eat", you can imagine how miserable the people of Shu are! How heavily they had to pay taxes to feed the officials, and the army.
The people of Shu couldn't bear it anymore, and people often fled to Wei. I can't run away, so I can only continue to suffer in Shu. When the envoy of Wei went on a business trip to Shu, he noticed that the common people on the road were covered with vegetables and malnourished.
Japanese scholars also noticed this serious problem, but they said it more implicitly, only emphasizing that there was something wrong with the internal affairs of Shu.
Shu's financial resources were already stretched, and Zhuge Liang and Jiang Wei ignored the actual situation and repeatedly sent troops to attack Wei. The war cost a huge amount of financial and manpower, and in addition to the people of Shu, Nanzhong also produced a large amount of goods and soldiers. Wei did not fight, and the final result was that Shu was weak and poor, and it was difficult to return, and finally fell first among the three kingdoms.
Chengdu Wuhou Temple's "Heart Alliance" reminds future generations that "if you don't judge the situation, that is, leniency and severity are wrong, and you must think deeply about governing Shu later", and you must do a good job in your own internal affairs before you can mention the so-called revival of the Han Dynasty.
Based on the proportion of officials and people in Shu, we have 56 million financial supporters for every 100 million people, and we have 1.4 billion people, and we have 56 million financial supporters.
In fact, we now have far more than 56 million financial supporters, some say 80 million, some say close to 100 million. Within the system, we have civil servants, public service personnel, and we also have a huge number of non-staff personnel, all of whom have to rely on the government to pay salaries.
No matter how much it is, we have to face up to the problem, we really have too many financial supporters. Reducing government affairs with elite troops is not an empty phrase, and action should be taken.
