Xiao Hua, a native of Xinhua, Hunan Province, is a contemporary calligrapher and calligraphy educator. In 1991, Xiao Hua went to Beijing to study, in 1993 he became a calligrapher Li Duo's room, in 2004 he studied in the first calligraphy graduate class of Peking University, and after graduation, he has been employed in the Institute of Calligraphy Art of Peking University to engage in calligraphy teaching and research.
In the long-term practice of calligraphy teaching, Xiao Hua deeply felt that the inheritance of calligraphy classics is the first priority of calligraphy education, and published "Sixteen Lectures on the Introduction to the Zhang Menglong Tablet of the Northern Wei Dynasty", "Sixteen Lectures on the Introduction to the Han Zhang Qian Tablet", "Sixteen Lectures on the Introduction to the Qinli Tablet of Tang Yan Zhenqing", "Sixteen Lectures on the Introduction to the Orchid Pavilion of King Xi of the Jin Dynasty" and other textbooks. He also carefully selected a number of classic inscriptions representing the Chinese calligraphy style in the past dynasties and copied them, and sorted out and edited and published "Xiao Hua Linbei Wei Zhang Menglong Tablet", "Xiao Hua Linhan Cao Quan Tablet", "Xiao Hua Linhan Zhang Qian Tablet", "Xiao Hua Linbei Wei Yuanzhen Epitaph", "Xiao Hua Lin Tang Yan Zhenqing Qinli Tablet", "Writing Classics "Thousand Character Text", "Writing Classics "Zhu Zi's Family Motto", "Writing Classics "Lanting Preface" and so on.

More than 10 students from the Xiaohua calligraphy classroom stood in front of the calligraphy table with bated breath, the brush in their hands was like a carving knife on the red Spring Festival couplet paper, and the pen walked the dragon and snake, writing the Spring Festival couplets in Kai, Xing, Cao, and Lishu like flowing water. Xiao Hua also splashed ink on the side, picking up a pen to write Spring Festival couplets. These Spring Festival couplets were rich in content and auspicious, and were distributed to the onlookers, attracting their praise again and again.
The students who participated in the event said that it was a rare opportunity to practice, which not only allowed them to apply the calligraphy knowledge they learned to real life, but also exercised their social and organizational skills. It is hoped that more similar activities will be held in the future to pass on the excellent traditional Chinese culture.

It is reported that the free Spring Festival couplets and blessing activities launched by Jinyuan Shopping Center and Xiaohua Calligraphy Classroom have been persisting for ten years.
