The Spring Festival is approaching, and good news about farmers' pensions, medical insurance, and wages is frequent
Seeing that the New Year of 2024 is coming, the whole country is jubilant, and every household has begun to buy New Year's gifts. With the approach of the Spring Festival, new progress has been made in the pensions, medical insurance, and wages of rural residents. Let's take a look.
In some places, farmers' pensions were paid in advance.
According to the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, there are currently about 170 million urban and rural residents' pension insurance, including a large number of rural elderly people.
There are nearly 300 million rural people in the country, and a considerable number of them have retired and can receive resident pensions, because next year is the Spring Festival in 2024, so the social security departments in some areas will give them their pensions in advance to ensure that their pensions can be paid on time.
According to incomplete data, social security institutions in many places have announced notices on migrant workers to pay in advance, and it is expected that before the Spring Festival this year, migrant workers can receive pensions in February.
The Shanghai Labor and Social Security Bureau will adjust the basic pension insurance for employees from February 10 to February 6. Guangdong will also start paying pensions to rural residents on February 8. The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security of Tianjin issued an announcement on the basic pension insurance for employees, and from February 6 this year, the basic pension insurance benefits for employees were increased to No. 6. The Beijing Labor and Social Security Bureau recently issued a notice to adjust the basic pension insurance for employees from February 15 to February 8. Retirees in Zhangye City, Gansu Province in February will be paid in advance by February 9.
Raise the basic pension in some places.
Shanxi, Henan, Shanghai, Hebei, and Ningxia all mentioned in this year's work report that they should increase the basic pension insurance system, and Ningxia has determined that by 2025, the per capita basic pension insurance payment standard is 60 yuan.
By 2024, many places have raised their basic pensions. Changzhou, Jiangsu Province, has raised the basic pension to 490 yuan per month, while Chizhou, Anhui Province has raised the basic pension from 145 months to 165 months. The basic old-age insurance for urban workers in Xianyang, Shaanxi Province was raised from 176 yuan per capita to 188 yuan, and the increase in Weicheng District and Qindu District was relatively large, to 196 yuan. Dongying City, Shandong Province, increased by 10 yuan per month to 235 yuan a month.
Good news on farmers' pensions, health insurance, wages, etc.
The first is the issue of the basic pension for farmers. Circular No. 1 proposes to improve the institutional arrangement of "paying more and paying more for a long time".
Farmers' pensions are composed of two parts: basic pensions and personal account pensions, in each region, the basic pensions are consistent, not affected by individual contributions, which has caused a great impact on the enthusiasm of some farmers.
The author believes that there are two main points: one is to reform the current basic pension insurance system, and adopt a way that is linked to the number of years of insurance and the number of years of insurance. Another important breakthrough point is to increase the subsidy for individual contributions, the amount of payment is more, the subsidy is more, and eligible rural collective economic organizations can invest funds in personal pension accounts.
The second is medical insurance. Document No. 1 proposes to strengthen the monitoring and early warning of patients with high illnesses in rural areas, and to combine the national health insurance and social security system with social security. At present, the hospitalization cost of farmers' medical insurance has reached 70%, alleviating the situation of "expensive medical treatment", however, some farmers still feel powerless in the face of high medical expenses, in order to avoid these people because of the disease caused by the "return to poverty", we must do a good job in medical insurance assistance.
Finally, let's talk about farmer salaries. Circular No. 1 proposes to increase the professional skills training of migrant workers, provide employment support for elderly migrant workers, and avoid problems such as arrears of labor remuneration for migrant workers.
