Li Peng, Senior Vice President of Huawei, said that 2024 is the first year of 5G-A commercialization, and combined with the development of cloud and AI technologies, operators have great potential for commercial growth.
Li Peng said, "Huawei is willing to work with operators to fully unleash the potential of 5G and 5G-A networks and stimulate new growth. ”
Li Qiang, general manager of China Mobile's planning department, said at the meeting that China Mobile will start building a 5G-A business model, improve 5G-A infrastructure, promote 5G-A application scenarios, strengthen the 5G-A industry ecology, and strive to achieve full commercial use of 5G-A by the end of 2026.
It is understood that 5G-A (5G-Advanced) is the so-called 55G, which is the transition stage between 5G and 6G, belongs to the enhanced version of 5G technology, and 5G-A is expected to be high during the transition period from 5G to 6G.
Compared with 5G, 5G-A is 10 times faster, can support 10 Gigabit experience, 100 billion connections, and the downlink peak is upgraded from 1 Gbps to 10 Gbps, and the uplink peak is from 01Gbps rises to 1Gbps.
According to reports, more than 300 Chinese companies have participated in this MWC 2024, including Huawei, ZTE, China Information Technology, MediaTek and other manufacturers will exhibit 5G-A related products.
