Hello everyone, I'm Elder Tang, and I recently had a meat friend ask: What is the "enemy" of succulents when raising succulents in winter?

Meat friends "Rao" egrets raise more flesh in winter, which is the easiest compared to other seasons, because the temperature is high in summer and succulent is easy to have problems, although the temperature is suitable in spring and autumn, it is the succulent growing season, but we have to "make up the pot" and carry out operations such as turning over the pot and changing the soil. And in winter, as long as we pay attention to keeping warm and anti-freeze and not tossing blindly, what we have to do every day is basically to put our hands in our pockets and look at the meat one by one.

Of course, succulents are exotic plants after all, and with the abnormal climate change in recent years, many things that seemed innocular before may now become succulent "enemies". So what will be their "enemy" when they raise more meat in winter? Don't worry, I'll talk about it well.

One is too low temperature. Although the low temperature is not long this winter, it is quick-frozen several times to cool down, so meat lovers who are succulent and exposed should be especially careful, because too low a temperature will become the biggest enemy of succulents. If we don't anticipate and keep warm, the succulent will probably lose a lot after a certain wave of cooling.

Frozen out of the ice, the second is overly wet potting soil. In winter, the temperature is low, and the need for water for succulents is not high, so it is best to keep the potting soil as dry as possible, after all, too wet potting soil is also the enemy of succulents. Take the Dongyun succulent as an example, if the weather is not good, the potting soil is too wet and does not dry thoroughly for a long time, then the leaves in the center of it will appear to turn into water, and it may directly rot black after a long time.

The third is excessive air humidity. Some meat friends said that the temperature of her maintenance environment is not particularly low, the moisture is well controlled, and the flesh is not rained, but they are sick, and I don't know what the reason is. In fact, this is the high air humidity at work! As succulents who prefer to be dry and afraid of moisture, they prefer to grow in relatively dry environments, and this dryness refers not only to the soil environment, but also to the climatic environment. If our succulents have been kept in an environment with high air humidity, they will be easily infected with powdery mildew, such as some meat friends in Guangdong have recently fallen into such a predicament.

Succulent four infected with powdery mildew is an unreasonable watering method. In winter, succulents are not watered, nor do they need to be watered, if their bottom leaves have been soft and the minimum temperature is kept above 5, then we must not only water the succulents, but also water them along the edges. But there is one detail that we must pay attention to, that is, the watering time needs to be selected at noon, and the next few days are sunny weather, otherwise you are likely to become a "succulent killer", after all, unreasonable watering methods in winter are also succulent enemies.

My Pink Lady Old Pile Five is an unventilated maintenance environment. In the case of low temperatures, although the ventilation requirements of succulents are not high, we can't put them in a too closed environment to maintain. Especially when the potting soil is relatively wet, otherwise you will find that within a day or two you will find that some of your fleshy leaves have turned into water, and some will start to fall off the leaves as soon as you touch them, and then directly become "Commander of the Light Pole".

Mexican Snowball Six is a variety of out-of-season operations. In winter, the temperature is low, and most of the succulents are dormant or semi-dormant, so we try not to toss, let alone carry out out-of-season operations such as repotting, soil changing, cutting heads and fertilizing, otherwise the succulents after changing the pot will be difficult to pot, and the succulents after cutting off the head have a high probability of not bursting the side buds.
