What is Protective Grounding?
In the temporary electricity consumption of the construction site, protective grounding refers to the direct connection of the metal shell of the electrical equipment to the grounding body through the grounding wire. It can prevent strong current from passing through the human body when the metal shell is energized in the case of insulation damage or accidents, so as to ensure personal safety.
It is also sometimes referred to as grounding protection.
What is Working Grounding?
Working grounding refers to the direct grounding of the neutral point of the working transformer.
The neutral wire here guides the wire from the neutral point of the transformer, and if it only supplies the electrical equipment to work normally to form a current path, it is called the working neutral line, which is represented by n; If not only the supply of electrical equipment is working normally to form a current path, but also connected to the housing of the electrical equipment, it is called a protective neutral wire, which is represented by a pen.
What is Repetitive Grounding?
In the 220V 380V three-phase four-wire system, the neutral point is directly grounded system, one or more places of the neutral trunk are connected to the grounding device with a connecting wire called repeated grounding, and the connecting wire is called a duplicate grounding wire.
In TN-S (three-phase five-wire system) or TN-C-S (partial TN-S) system, the working neutral line (i.e. N-line) is not allowed to be repeatedly grounded, and only the protective neutral line (i.e. PE line) can be repeatedly grounded.
What is a protective zero connection (PE line).
PE wire is also called protective conductor, which is specially used to ground the exposed conductive part of the electrical installation, and the connecting conductor of protective grounding and protective zero connection are called PE wire. To illustrate the need, the connecting conductor that protects the grounding is called the protective grounding wire, and the connecting conductor that protects the zero connection is called the PE wire.
