In the fifties and sixties of the last century, the wave of "agricultural Dazhai" swept across the country, and the most well-known farmers were none other than ***. ** Originally just a poor peasant in Dazhai Village, Xiyang, Shanxi, but with his own efforts and intelligence, he soon became a representative figure of this movement.

Subsequently, his political status also improved significantly, and in 1975, he served as deputy prime minister and was successfully promoted to the rank of deputy national cadre.

Chen Yimei, a person from a peasant family, he used to be as famous as ***. ** once said: "We need Chen Yimei of Chenjiazhuang and *** of Dazhai."

Although Chen Yimei's career path has been full of setbacks, he has been removed from his post three times, and even given a suspended death sentence. So, what are the stories of Chen Yimei? Chen Yimei was born in 1917 in Chenjiazhuang, Qufu County, Jining, Shandong Province, in a poor peasant family.

There is little information about Mr. Chen, and the information does not record his gender. However, judging by his name, Chen Yimei sounds like a female name.

However, by consulting several old people of that era, I learned that Chen Yimei was actually a seven-foot man.

In 1949, Chen Yimei organized and established an agricultural mutual aid group in the village to lead the old, weak, sick and disabled in the village to become prosperous together.

In 1952, Chen Yimei was awarded the title of National Model Worker and won the May Day Labor Medal, and he became a model for the people of the whole country to learn. ** Chen Yimei's agricultural cooperatives were highly appreciative, and his cooperatives were specifically mentioned in the article "The Socialist Upsurge in Rural China".

In 1956, ** specifically mentioned in a speech that "Chen Yimei of Chenjiazhuang and *** of Dazhai are examples that we should learn from", and highly praised their contributions to the development of local agriculture.

Chen Yimei and *** East and West are both exemplary figures in the field of agriculture in New China and have outstanding reputations. In 1957, Chen Yimei was named a national model agricultural worker, and two years later she also participated in the 10th anniversary of the National Day ceremony.

However, Chen Yimei's career is much more bumpy than ***. In 1961, he was removed from office for the first time, which he derided as a "class enemy".

In 1963, Chen Yimei returned to the leadership position, and in 1964, ** mentioned him again and instructed him to be "seized power". ** pointed out: "Chen Yimei of Chenjiazhuang in Qufu was beaten down, and the (grain) yield per mu dropped from 500 catties to 300 catties, but it rose again last year, and the (grain) yield per mu increased from 300 catties to 500 catties. ”

In 1966, the ten-year special period began, and Chen Yimei was dismissed from her post for the second time. Despite this, with her status as a model worker, Chen Yimei gradually moved to the political stage in the evolution of the special period of ten years.

In 1968, he returned to officialdom and was appointed deputy director of the Qufu County Revolutionary Committee, and later promoted to a member of the Jining City Prefectural Committee. However, Chen Yimei gradually approached the "Gang of Four" camp and carried out many of the "Gang of Four" ideas, so after the "Gang of Four" was crushed in 1976, he was censored and removed from office for the third time.

Two years later, in 1978, Ms. Chen was expelled from the party. In 1979, after a trial by the Jining Intermediate People's Court, Chen Yimei was sentenced to death with a two-year reprieve for "class revenge".

Chen Yimei's family appealed to the Jining Intermediate People's Court in June 1982 because they objected to the excessive sentencing. After a retrial, Chen Yimei was sentenced to 12 years in prison for "revenge."

After being released from prison, she returned to her hometown and lived her old age. Finally, in 1998, Chen Yimei passed away at the age of 81.
