Presumably, everyone who has renovated has a bitter history. On the road to decoration, sometimes even if you have done a lot of homework in advance, no matter how rich your experience, you will inevitably step on the thunder, and all kinds of big and small problems after moving in have caused regrets in decoration. As a person who has come over, I would like to summarize the 4 "thunder points" of my home decoration, I hope you can learn from the experience, and you must not make the same mistake again, otherwise you will be like me, and your mentality will explode.
In today's home decoration, open cabinets are becoming more and more popular. At that time, I was also fascinated by the idea that it would be easier to take things without installing cabinet doors, and that I could also display some collections, books, treasured wines, etc., to highlight the taste of the home. But I didn't expect that in the past six months of moving in, these large and small cabinets without doors have become the area I hate the most. Even if you clean it every day, it will inevitably get dusty. Sometimes when you go home from a business trip, the accumulated dust is even more, and it is annoying to look at.
Advice from conscience:It's really bad to do too much open design, dust is inevitable, and when you put all the displays on the cabinet, you'll find that the real effect is colorful and messy. The correct way is to cover 80% of the cabinet with the cabinet door, no matter what you put inside, it will not affect the beauty of the home. The remaining 20% can be done in an open-ended design to show something special. The "Twenty-Eight Law" will make your home more designed and high-end.
After the renovation once, I knew that the doors and windows were not confirmed in advance, which really delayed the construction period. The first time I was busy with decoration and didn't know much about the order, and when the water and electricity were completed to see the doors and windows, I found that it was too late, and the doors and windows had to spend more than a month to customize.
Advice from conscience:Doors and windows belong to customized products, often its production cycle will be relatively long, from more than half a month or even a month or so are possible, so when everyone is busy with water and electricity, we must start to set doors and windows, which is related to the progress of decoration and site safety. When the water and electricity are busy, it is the bricklayer's turn to come into play, and if the doors and windows are in place, it will be easier for the bricklayer to close the edges, especially in places like window sills and tiles.
For the first time to decorate, blindly following the trend is a mistake that many people will make. I'm no exception, which design fire on the Internet will do which, what "black hardware bathroom", "floor drain", "rock slab integrated basin", etc., are all installed, but it looks good only in the first few months. After a long time, the problem is exposed:
Black hardware bathrooms are prone to limescale that cannot be cleaned up, especially in areas with hard water quality, especially obviously. Some cheap ones will even lose paint, the so-called sense of luxury, in the end is not as good as ordinary silver faucet showers!
* The floor drain seems to be more advanced, but in fact, the water is still a small opening, and even more troublesome when cleaning, you have to take a hook to lift the heavy long cover to get it. Sometimes if you are lazy for a while and don't clean up, the water will become very slow.
Not to mention the story of the overturning of the rock slab basin, there are already several cases around. At first, I didn't understand that the so-called integrated basin was actually pasted with glue, and there was a risk of leakage or falling off. Secondly, in the process of use, it is easy to have water accumulation in the basin, and the four right angles are the hardest hit areas of hygiene.
Advice from conscience:In decoration, we should not blindly pursue the beautiful side, behind any "Internet celebrity design", we should also consider practicality. The so-called "fake refinement" is often the last thing that cheats you the most, and the check-in experience will definitely be greatly affected.
When the balcony is decorated, I really regret that the window is made inward, and it is easy to meet, not to mention, the balcony of the small apartment is not big, and because of the reason for the balcony cabinet, I am afraid that the inward window and the cabinet door conflict, so there is a window that can not be opened after installation, and the ventilation effect is greatly reduced.
Advice from conscience:Generally speaking, it may be that the high-rise will not allow to do outward windows, either sliding windows, or inward opening and inverted windows. Personally, I think that the inward opening and inverting window is still quite suitable, and in the inverted state, the gap can also ensure ventilation, and has an anti-theft effect, and can also reduce the worry of the inward opening window meeting.
Some people have commented that decoration is an endless learning experience, and it will always fall into the pit when it is unexpected, the point is that there is no Monkey King to save his life. This does not seem to be true at all, there must be a heartbroken owner behind every pit, and even more. What we can do is only to learn from the decoration experience of others, and some of the minefields listed above, I hope you can avoid it!
