Buddhist Story: How the Living Buddha Gampa saved the ancestor Kublai Khan.
Bilba (1229-1303), originally known as Qingxi, also known as Gongjia Ge Tingen. Today, he was born in Dengke County, Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Region, Sichuan Province. He was a prominent Tibetan Buddhist leader in the early Yuan Dynasty.
Bile lost his father at a young age and relied on his uncle to make ends meet. By the age of nine, he was able to recite all kinds of charms fluently; When he was 12 years old, he studied Buddhist scriptures and altars with His Holiness Kunga Gyaltsen, the king of Sakya, and from then on he was named "Gampa".
By the age of twenty-four, he had entered the house and practiced Tantric Dharma, much to the amazement of his audience. Later, he traveled to India to meet with the great Guddada Masari to learn Sanskrit Tantra and get the best out of it.
When Kublai Khan, the ancestor of the Yuan dynasty, succeeded to the throne as emperor, with the recommendation of Ba Sipa, he was invited to Beijing to meet and was revered in Shouning Temple on Wutai Mountain. In the eighth year of Yuan to Yuan, the imperial court officially canonized him as a national teacher. After that, in the eighteenth year of the Yuan Dynasty, he was ordered by Yuan Shizu to go to Changchun Palace to debate the authenticity of "Laozi Huahu Jing"; At the end of that year, he returned to his hometown. In the 26th year of the reign of the Emperor, he returned to the capital and stationed at Sheng'an Monastery, and then went to Guangzhou to establish a monastery to spread Buddhism.
Once, when the Huaimeng region of Henan Province was hit by a severe drought, Yuan Shizu invited Bile to pray for rain, and Bile just sat quietly and recited the Buddhist mantra again, and the sky immediately became cloudy, and soon after it began to pour down.
On another occasion, in order to calm the rough sea, Gall threw an incantational offering into the sea, and in an instant, a beautiful flower and unique fruit bloomed at the bottom of the sea.
At that time, the wife of Yue, who was serving as the privy councillor, suffered from a peculiar illness, and she asked several doctors to treat her, but she could not do anything. In the end, they could only sincerely ask Master Bile for help. He handed the beads he was wearing to the moon and instructed him to wear them on his wife's wrist, and miraculously, his wife's condition improved rapidly.
In the first year of Emperor Baoyou of the Song Dynasty, he went to Tianzhu according to the instructions of ** and asked the senior monk Guda Ma Sri for the Sanskrit scriptures.
After returning from his studies, he returned to Tibet to receive his protégés to pass on the Dharma. Sang Ge, who served as the prime minister of the Yuan Dynasty, was a student of Bilb.
In the twenty-eighth year of the Yuan Dynasty, Bilba was recalled to Beijing and built a Guanyin lion roar dojo in the inner hall to pray for the good health of Yuan Shizu. In the first year of Yuanzhen, he lived in the most magnificent temple in the capital in accordance with the order of Yuan Shizu, the Great Protector Nioh Temple. In the same year, according to the order of Chengzong, he built a solemn mandala prayer ground in the northwest of Jingshi (today's Beijing).
In February 1302, Yuan Chengzong suffered from a strange illness on the way to Liulin, and he specially sent someone to write to Bilba: "If you miss me, please come and visit me in person." After receiving the invitation, he immediately rushed to Liulin and performed the secret religion method for seven consecutive days and nights to treat the emperor's illness, and finally made Yuan Chengzong's illness cured. In order to thank Bile for saving his life, Yuan Chengzong pardoned all the prisoners and prisoners in the country, and also rewarded Bile with a large amount of property. Even the seven treasure cards and jewels worn by the emperor and empress were given to the gall. The emperor also gave him ample carriages, mules, saddlebags decorated with white jade, ornate golden manzas, and **, and sent ten imperial captains to accompany him as his escorts and guides.
In March, Yuan Chengzong continued his northern tour, ordering Gall to ride an elephant in front of the emperor's chariot to escort him safely. Unfortunately, in the spring of 1303, the following year, when he fell ill, Yuan Chengzong immediately sent an imperial physician to visit and care for him. In May, when he unfortunately passed away, Yuan Chengzong gave him agarwood, sandalwood and other materials for cremation, and ordered special personnel to send the relics of Bilba to the Great Protector of the Kingdom of Niwang Temple in the capital at that time (now Beijing) to celebrate the resettlement of Anta. It is a pity that in the second year of Emperor Yuanrenzong's celebration, because he had served as the abbot of Longxing Temple on Zhending Road, and the lamas there had been invited many times, Yuanrenzong gave him the title of "Great Awakening Puci Guangzhao Godless Master".
