IT Home reported on January 10 that at the symposium on the high-quality development of the automobile industry held by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on January 9, Yin Tongyue, chairman of Chery Holding Group, judged the automotive industry in 2024, and he believes that the situation will be more severe and is expected to grow at a low level.
Yin Tongyue said that in 2024, Chery Group will insist on putting the quality of operation in the first place, and on the basis of rapid growth in 2023, it will continue to maintain high-quality development that exceeds the growth rate of the industry, with the goal of exceeding the industry by 10-20 percentage points in sales growth.
Chery Automobile's cumulative sales in 2023 reached 1881316 units, a year-on-year increase of 526%, officially a record high. At the same time, Chery announced that its annual revenue exceeded 300 billion yuan for the first time, an increase of more than 50% year-on-year, and exported 937148 cars annually, a year-on-year increase of 1011%, claiming to have ranked first in the export of Chinese brand passenger cars for 21 consecutive years.
Previously, it was reported that Chery Automobile Group learned from within that the group's sales target for 2024 is 4 million units. Looking at it now, Chery's actual goal is more pragmatic, and there is no expectation of doubling.
Comprehensive IT Home previously reported that Gao Xinhua, executive deputy general manager of Chery Automobile Co., Ltd. and president of the General R&D Institute, said in an interview that batteries are the core technology of electric vehicles, and Chery has its own battery, which will be officially released in 2024.
