volumesTwentyThere are two kinds of non-pure thoughts1. Thinking and choosing power2. Practice the power of photography.
As mentioned earlier, when you are in the "home position", you should practice impure thoughts. In the "monastic position", one should practice impermanence; In the position of "staying away from idleness and practicing yoga", one should practice light thought. Next, let's explain these three countermeasures in more detail. Unpure thinking can be roughly divided into two types, one is "thinking and choosing power" and the other is "practicing power".
"The Records of the Search" explains, "The regent is divided into words: In the evil deeds of the present and post-Dharma of the present, I have seen it deeply, and I can think about it rightly, stop all evil deeds, cultivate all good deeds, and think about it." It is even widely said that based on this, one can practice the Bodhi division of the four mindful dwellings. Know the name of this cultivation and practice power. These two differences should be known. ”
Later in this treatise, in the sub-sections, in a nutshell, we can see deeply the negative actions of the body, speech, and mind of the present and future aggregate self, and after being able to think and observe them according to the wisdom of the Dharma, stop these evil actions, practice all the good deeds, and be able to do so, which is called "thinking and choosing." He even practiced precepts, concentration, and wisdom, and practiced hearing, thinking, and cultivation. With this kind of positive thinking as a basis, being able to practice the four mindfulness dwellings and the 37 bodhi pathways according to the Buddha's teachings is called "practice."
Thinking and choosing power is not pure thinking, and you should know the five lawsTreat what you want. What five. oneGet close to your motherII. II. IILost thoughts everywhere
Among the impure thoughts that belong to the power of choice, there are five ways to deal with them. The first is to "get close to the mother" and be happy to be close to women. The second is "the loss of thought everywhere", which is explained in the "Pil Xun Ji", "It is said that going to the village settlement Pavilion Luo to beg for food, in the other mother's town, in the young and prime, wonderful shapes, can be bad, can hinder the Brahman, can make all kinds of evil and ungood to think about the present, should live in righteous thoughts and correct knowledge, protect the root door, should not be observed." Contrary to this, following the view of pure and wonderful, it is a loss of mind. ”
When you go out to beg for food, you come into contact with a young and beautiful woman, or a young man of all shapes, you will destroy the practice of Brahmanism, hinder your mind from purifying, and you will have all kinds of unhealthy thoughts and thoughts. At this time, you should let your mind rest on mindfulness. When you know that you are not pure, you immediately turn your mind back to purity and guard your six purities strictly. If you don't settle down with righteous thoughts and correct knowledge, indulge your discriminating mind, and climb the outer realm at will, it is called "losing your mind everywhere."
ThreeSeclusionFourHidden throughoutBy the string of habits5. Although the practice is diligent and convenient, it is not pure, and the mind is disordered. It is said that there is no contemplation and impurity, and it turns with the purity, which is called confusion of intentions.
The third is "seclusion and relaxation", when you live alone, you follow the five desires and pleasures, and indulge your own improper thinking. Fourth, "the whole place is hidden and visible, and the power is from the string of habits", because of the "loss of thought everywhere" and "retreat and relaxation" mentioned above, often string habits. That is, to always keep the pure mind that you are practicing in a state of loss of mind and relaxation. Fifth, "confusion of intentions", although one can diligently practice impure thoughts, but "confusion of intentions". Instead of observing the impure aspects that are supposed to be observed, but observing the pure aspects of the five desires and bliss, the intention of the practice is reversed, so it is said that the intention is "deranged."
The practice of power is not pure in mindKnow the Seven LawsTreat what you want. What sevenIt is what this doesDistracted heartWhat we doFun
Among the impure thoughts that belong to the power of practice, there are seven ways to deal with them. The first is that "what we do is scattered," and when we practice impure thoughts, our minds become scattered and disturbed along with the outer realm. The second is that "what we do is interesting", because of the distraction in front of us, and the joyful yearning for the outer realm, the mind can no longer remain stable and serene, and it cannot live quietly on the Dharma that it is practicing.
Convenient intentions are not skillful, and they are not respectful and diligentand because they can't keep the rootsAlthough he is free, there are still all kinds of polluted thoughts, disturbing his heartI don't know how to eat and drink, and my body is not adjustedand disturbed by thoughts, and not happy to stay awaySilence in the heartSamatadineAnd because his body is not adjusted, he cannot be good at cultivating the Buddha, and he cannot observe the Dharma truthfully.
The third is "convenience and unskillful intention", because I didn't ask the teacher diligently, so I couldn't skillfully practice impure thoughts, and I couldn't get a suitable method for practicing impure thoughts. Fourth, "I can't protect the root gate", although I am idle, but because I don't protect the six roots, the six roots cannot be purified, so that the mind is disturbed by polluted thoughts. Fifth, "I don't know how much to eat", and I don't know the right amount of diet, which leads to four major imbalances in the body. Sixth, "disturbed by thinking", because the mind is disturbed by the impure thinking of relatives, land, mischief, and so on, and the consciousness cannot stop, so it is not happy to stay away from the trouble, and does not rejoice in the state of inner silence and meditation. The seventh is "the body is not in tune", because the body is not in harmony, and it is not able to practice Vipassana, and it is not possible to truly observe the reality of the Dharma.
If yesOne-cutThe law should be known and always saidOne Door TwelveOne Door Fourteen. That is to say, if it is the law that is treated, there is still a place to cure the white law. In cultivating the two kinds of impure thoughts, you should know how to do more.
Generally speaking, there are 12 types of these methods, that is, the five types that belong to the power of thinking, and the seven types that belong to the power of practice, which together are 12 kinds. Second, there are fourteen kinds, and the first twelve kinds, plus the power of choice and practice, are fourteen. There are so many corresponding countermeasures for these treatments mentioned above. The impure thoughts contained in the power of choice and the power of practice are also these countermeasures, and should be practiced more.
