Shizuoka University (Japanese: English: Shizuoka University) is a national university established in Japan in 1949.

School Characteristics] Shizuoka University was founded in 1875 as Shizuoka Normal School. After many changes, on May 31, Showa 24 (1949), Shizuoka High School, Shizuoka First Normal School, Shizuoka Second Normal School, Shizuoka Youth Normal School, and Hamamatsu Technical College merged to form Shizuoka University.

Geography] Shizuoka City is a city in the central part of Shizuoka Prefecture in central Japan, located in the ** part of Japan, facing the Pacific Ocean, and is also the seat of Shizuoka Prefecture Prefectural Office.
