The closed-door meeting of the Chinese Kuomintang National People's Congress on the morning of 25 June discussed many issues, including whether the party caucus should give priority to the "bill," whether to sign the "bill" proposed by other political parties, and whether to summon members to be courteous to the People's Party. For the sake of prudence, the voting was cleared, and only the people's representatives were present. Taiwan media reported that the show of hands in support of the comity of the People's Party in the election of the "convening committee" outweighs those who oppose it, and the current consensus of the Chinese Kuomintang group and the people's representative is inclined to give the People's Party a seat in the "convening committee".
Some people in the blue camp pointed out that the "committees" that the Chinese Kuomintang may be compassionate to include "the judicial and legal system, finance, and transportation committees." However, it was also rumored that Fu Laiqing expressed at the meeting that he would not be polite to the "Judicial and Legal Affairs Committee".
Regarding the issue of compassionate "summoning committees", Zhu Lilun, chairman of the Chinese Kuomintang, said that the party caucus resolution refers to the delegation of future cooperation to the "three chiefs" of the party caucus. Hong Mengkai, secretary general of the caucus who has always said that he insists on maintaining the subjectivity of the Chinese Kuomintang, only smiled and said "thank you" when asked by Taiwan media about the "summoning of members" of the People's Party. An anonymous representative of the Lan camp said that it is not necessary to be polite, but depends on the goodwill of the People's Party, and the "Judicial and Legal Affairs Committee" must not let it.
Xu Qiaoxin, a representative of the Chinese Kuomintang who did not attend the meeting due to physical discomfort, made it clear that the Chinese Kuomintang should have its own "convening committee" now that it has won the 52+2 seats of the Democratic People's Congress, but he very much agrees with the "Internal Affairs Committee" to give courtesy to Gao Jin Sumei, a non-party representative of the Democratic People's Congress. However, in the future, if the People's Party has a good proposal, the Chinese Kuomintang will not deliberately refuse to arrange the case and boycott it, and I believe that there are still many places where we can work together, and the "summoning committee" part should be dominated by the Chinese Kuomintang.
