How to raise the bow when two EMUs are reconnected?

Mondo Social Updated on 2024-02-25

At present, China's EMU pantograph adopts a single-arm pantograph, a compressed air bag to drive the lifting bow, a self-weight lowering bow, and a pantograph carbon slide plate made of pure hard carbon material, which plays a protective role in the catenary and is suitable for China's existing lines and passenger dedicated line catenary.

The EMU is a fixed group, equipped with two sets of pantographs, and shall not be decomposed in the state of use. When the single-marshalling EMU is running, a single bow is used to receive the current, and the other pantograph is in a standby folding state. So when the EMU is reconnected, how to raise the bow?

Two short trains of the same type can be reconnected. When the two EMUs are reconnected, each raises one pantograph to run, and adopts the mode of raising the front bow of the front and rear cars or the front and rear cars raising the rear bow, that is, the front front - rear rear bow raising mode (the front car raises the front bow and the rear car raises the front bow, and the front car raises the rear bow and the rear car raises the rear bow mode). The railway technical regulations also clearly stipulate that when a single-train long-marshalled EMU is raised to double bow or two EMUs are reconnected, each pantograph is raised, and the working pantograph spacing is 200 215m. It is forbidden for a single EMU to raise double bows, and it is forbidden to reconnect the bow raising mode for the rear bow + front bow, that is, it is forbidden for the front car to raise the rear bow and the rear car to raise the front bow.

At the same time, the bow lifting mode also needs to specifically consider the relationship between the contact point of the passenger dedicated line and the anchor joint.
