The Nitrogen Fertilizer Joint Stock Company, located in the central city of Navoi, is one of the largest chemical enterprises in the country. Passing through the gate of the factory, several huge ** oncoming images introduce the company's development achievements in recent years. Among them, the most eye-catching is the polyvinyl chloride production complex project undertaken by Chinese enterprises.

As an important project for China and Ukraine to promote international production capacity cooperation under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative, the PVC production complex project of Navoi Nitrogen Fertilizer Co., Ltd. is jointly constructed by China Industrial International Engineering Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "China Industrial International") and Shanghai Huanqiu Engineering Co., Ltd. The project is the first set of PVC production unit in Uzbekistan, and it is also a major chemical project successfully completed and put into operation in Uzbekistan in recent years, with an annual output of 100,000 tons of PVC, 750,000 tons of caustic soda and 300,000 tons of methanol.

Walking into the PVC production area, the reporter saw a busy scene: with the flexible action of the robot, bags of 25 kg of PVC on the conveyor belt were transferred one by one and stacked neatly. Han Xueli, deputy general representative of the Uzbekistan Representative Office of China Industrial International, said that the latest international standards have been adopted in the design and construction of the project, and the production line produces polyvinyl chloride 24 hours a day, and the production process has basically achieved zero emissions.

In the central control room of the workshop, Kamorildin Asadov, Deputy General Director of the PVC Production Complex of JSC Navoi Nitrogen Fertilizer, is inspecting the production processes and communicating with his colleagues from time to time. Assadov told reporters that all control systems in the central control room are designed by the Chinese side, which is convenient and efficient to operate. As a local employee involved in the construction of the project, Assadov was selected to China in 2019 to learn the latest production technology and management processes, and gradually grew into the backbone of the business. Today, he has grown from an ordinary employee to a manager. "I was accompanied by more than 30 other colleagues who went to China at that time, and we have all become the backbone of the factory, active in various positions on the production line. ”

Bags of PVC are stacked on pallets in the packaging and storage workshop, and forklifts transport the products to the nearby warehouse for storage, waiting for the trains and trucks to be shipped. According to Farook Samadov, former chairman of the board of directors of Navoi Nitrogen Fertilizer JSC, the PVC production complex has created more than 1,000 jobs and has become a star project in the plant. Since the production line was put into operation, the company's PVC products have been highly recognized by the market, not only filling the gap in the domestic market, but also exported to neighboring countries. "The company looks forward to continuing to strengthen cooperation with Chinese partners to promote the modernization and transformation of Ukraine's chemical industry. He said.

Uzbekistan attaches great importance to the project, and during the construction period, a "green channel" was specially opened to reduce taxes and simplify procedures for equipment and personnel exchanges. Uzbekistan's Mirziyoyev has inspected the project four times, spoke highly of its significance to the country's economic and social development, and said that Chinese enterprises have created a "model project" for the two countries to jointly build the "Belt and Road". He pointed out that the completion of the project can not only solve the problem of long-term dependence on imports of domestic polyvinyl chloride and caustic soda and other products in Uzbekistan, but more importantly, it will promote the rapid development of Uzbekistan's national chemical industry.

Before leaving the factory, the reporter came to the factory history museum set up by Nitrogen Fertilizer Joint Stock Company, and the completion of the PVC production complex project has been included in the memorabilia of the plant's history. Assadov said that the company has decided to build the second phase of the PVC production line and is currently working with Chinese companies to finalize the relevant details. "The Belt and Road Initiative helps us achieve industrial modernization".We are full of confidence in our career and our future! Assadov said.
