Title: Ukrainian army found new Russian Tiger armored vehicles equipped with Gibka-S anti-aircraft missile turrets on the battlefield The war between Ukraine and Russia has been going on for 686 days, during which soldiers on both sides have carried out various ** modifications on the front line, including transplanting machine guns from water ships to ground armored vehicles.

These crude modifications played an important role on the battlefield. Recently, the Ukrainian army found on the battlefield a new Tiger all-terrain high-mobility vehicle sent by Russia to Ukraine, with a Gibka-S anti-aircraft missile turret on top of its armored vehicle, which is an official modification of the Russian army's equipment with a much higher degree of integrity.

The GIBKA-S system is an upgraded version of the 3M-47GIBKA anti-aircraft missile turret, derived from the equipment of lightly armed patrol boats at sea, which can carry up to four IGLA-S (also known as SA-16, needle) surface-to-air anti-aircraft missiles. The system was tested in 2019 and is being mass-produced in accordance with state defense orders.

This short-range surface-to-air missile system can be used against low-altitude and extremely low-altitude aircraft, including aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, cruise missiles, and high-precision systems.

The Gibka-S system is equipped with four IGLA, IGLA-S or Verba missiles ready for launch, and can launch two missiles at the same time to increase the hit rate, which is a nightmare for low-flying vehicles. The system is an unmanned turret, and the shooter is remotely operated by an electro-optical sighting instrument in the vehicle.

However, the weight of the turret reached 14 tons, almost reaching the upper limit of the carrying capacity of the Tiger high-speed motor. Although it is not yet known the number of missiles on board the Tiger vehicle and the number of shooter groups, its appearance will compensate for the lack of anti-aircraft fire of the Russian army on the front line, especially given the number of air defense systems that have recently been destroyed by the Ukrainian army.
