Russia is developing a new mobile nuclear missile

Mondo Military Updated on 2024-01-30

Recently, Russian scientists are intensively carrying out scientific research and experimental design work on the demonstration of the appearance of the equipment and the manufacturing path of the mobile missile system. The Sarmat missile, as the latest heavy intercontinental ballistic missile developed by Russia, is gradually showing its powerful power.

The missile was first test-fired in December 2017, and now Russia has gone one step further by announcing that it is developing a new generation of mobile nuclear missiles that it plans to use to replace the current Yars missile system. Karakaev said the program will lead to test launches of seven intercontinental ballistic missiles in 2024, which are expected to have a range of more than 180,000 km and carrying at least 10 individually guided nuclear warheads.

The new missile system has the capability to break through all existing and future anti-missile systems in the world, allowing the United States and other countries to be notified within 24 hours of the test. At the same time, Washington will take corresponding defensive measures. Compared to the Yars missile system, the Sarmat missile can carry up to three warheads and is capable of attacking multiple targets simultaneously, and the overall performance is constantly being improved.

It is worth noting that this new generation of mobile nuclear missile systems of Russia will not only allow the warhead to reach the target along the optimal trajectory, but also strike from different directions, forcing the enemy to conduct missile defense in all directions. Vladimir Degari, chief designer of the Makeev Design Bureau, said that over the past 40 years, the development of this missile system has strengthened the combat effectiveness of the Russian army.

This remarkable scientific and technological breakthrough not only has far-reaching implications in the military field, but also raises concerns about the international strategic balance. We look forward to the active participation of experts and the public in the discussion of this high-profile event, and to leave your views and comments on this new missile system.
