The origin of peasant paintings in Gongshan Town, Xundian County can be traced back to 60 years ago, and they are very popular among the local people and are widely spread among the people. According to reports, the peasant paintings of Gongshan Town absorb the essence of lacquer painting, paper-cutting, New Year painting, embroidery, shadow puppetry, box painting, temple painting, auspicious patterns and other painting arts, and form a visual impact through bright colors, using easy-to-understand realistic techniques to depict the rural scene, and convey the true feeling of the essence of rural life in Xundian. At present, driven by the peasant painter Liu Hai, more and more people in Liushuhe Village, Gongshan Town, have joined the ranks of the creation of this folk art, and while increasing their income, their spiritual and cultural life is also becoming richer and richer.
