The State Administration of Radio, Film and Television's 2024 New Year high-quality online micro-short drama recommendation project "Flying Youth" focuses on the theme of rural cultural tourism in the new era, and is exclusively launched on Youku** today (February 17), which tells the vivid story of college student Cao Feiyang returning to his hometown to start a business and helping the development of local cultural tourism.

Flying Youth takes place in a small town in southern China - Jinshi Town (prototype Caocun Town). Cao Feiyang, a famous college student, was called to return to his hometown to start a business, but he left his college girlfriend Mo Qingchun in the provincial capital. Just as he was developing a large number of special projects to attract investment, the east and west villages were competing for tourists and staged a farce that was ridiculous. Mo Qingchun, who rushed to break up, happened to be involved in the "adventure" of the tour group, and wittily helped Cao Feiyang turn the situation around and get out of the trough, and the relationship between the two quietly changed.

As the first batch of promotion projects of the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television in 2024, this drama not only focuses on the theme of "rural revitalization and common prosperity", but also studies the distribution and application of local tourism resources, analyzes how to fully integrate history and culture, accommodation and diet, agricultural and sideline product development with tourism, makes useful attempts and thoughts on the integration of tourism resources, and also brings inspiration to the development of cultural tourism in other villages in China.

The plot characters are rich in layers

Shaping the "group portrait" of rural cultural tourism entrepreneurship

The rich layers of characters are a major feature of "Flying Youth". In terms of character building, the play not only portrays Cao Feiyang and Mo Qingchun, representatives of urban college students, showing the frustrations and joys experienced by the two for their careers and dreams, but also vividly portrays Lin Yinuo and Cai Yiming, representatives of new rural youth, Xu Chenchen, a small character representative, Xu Chenchen, a "little fat girl", Zeng Meimei, and a group of vivid rural entrepreneurial "group portraits" such as rural sage entrepreneurs and small town teachers who are running for rural cultural tourism.

In order to make the plot more down-to-earth and more network-sensitive, the play adopts the presentation of light comedy, Lin Yinuo, the "little bully" in the West Village, and Cai Yiming, the "talker" in the East Village, are happy enemies and competitors. "Wonderful Man" Xu Chenchen is skinny but obsessed with martial arts, and "Little Fat Girl" Zeng is beautiful and plump but shy and cute.

With the concerted efforts of everyone, the 18 villages in the town finally fully united, creating a golden business card of "rural revitalization and common prosperity". The play also guides young people to think more deeply: must they stay in the city after graduating from college, or can they return to their hometowns to start a business? What does it mean to have "flying youth"?

Cultural and tourism elements are deeply integrated

Take you to enjoy the beautiful scenery of rural cultural characteristics

"Out of the circle" of cultural tourism has been a hot topic in recent years. In 2024, the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television will release the creation plan of "Follow the Micro Short Drama to Travel". As the first micro-short drama with the theme of "rural revitalization and common prosperity" on the whole network, the play was filmed in Cao Village Town, Ruian, Wenzhou, and deeply integrated the beauty, food, culture and plot. In the play, the actor Cao Feiyang has developed a paragliding project along the mountain, a cruise boat project along the river, and launched projects such as characteristic farms, self-selected fruit forests, lantern night tours, and parent-child rice and shrimp experiences. With the help of the villagers, he received the best policy support, applied for bank loans, introduced private investment, and comprehensively improved the town's tourism supporting resources.

The "Jinshi Town" in the play is based on the development model of Caocun Town's cultural and tourism industry, and the town, as a demonstration village of Zhejiang's "Ten Million Project", has its Jinshi culture, Nanquan culture, as well as a number of special projects such as Jinshi Suomian, paragliding, and lantern night tours, all of which appear one by one in the play. Through this play, everyone can not only appreciate the unique natural scenery and profound cultural heritage of the beautiful countryside, but also have a deeper understanding of the "pastoral" industry and all-for-one tourism to help rural revitalization.

College students return to their hometowns to build beautiful villages, and the investment of cultural tourism projects is thrilling! The beautiful scenery and stories of Jinshi Town have begun, and Youku's exclusive micro-short drama "Flying Youth" will be updated every day at 10:00 from February 17th.
