Recently, a friend saw someone on the Internet using a purple clay pot to make tea when suddenly cracking**, came to ask me why there is such a phenomenon, in fact, this phenomenon is very rare, can be 1 in 10,000 probability of no, but since there is, we have to carefully analyze the reasons, according to my more than 40 years of experience, I think it may be caused by the following three reasons:
Vermilion Shih Tzu pot.
One is the problem of its own materials, as we all know, the purple sand material has good heat resistance and rapid denaturation, emphasizing that it is not easy to crack when using 100 degrees of boiling water to make tea, even if the ambient temperature is very low, or to zero degrees, the body of the pot will not occur due to thermal expansion and contraction when making tea, which is due to the fact that the purple sand ore contains more temperature-resistant materials such as alumina, lithium oxide and other substances, we occasionally crack during use, and it is very likely that too many colorants are added artificially in the process of mud training, such as iron red powder. Materials with a high coefficient of expansion such as titanium dioxide encounter a collision with 100 degrees of hot water in the case of low ambient temperature, resulting in cracking, but this is very, very rare, and is not a common phenomenon.
Fifty or sixty degrees of water first warm the pot, and then use a boiling water to make tea, which can completely avoid this situation.
Descending mud flat drum pot.
The second is the quality of the molding process, the cracking of the seam is very rare, it is very likely that the grease sludge is not evenly mixed during molding, and there is a crack caused by the unsatisfactory bonding of part of the air gap, which is related to the poor molding quality of the pot.
The third is that there is a problem in firing, due to the different temperature attributes of each raw material, many muds need to be kept warm at the highest temperature for more than 5 hours to fully solidify the strength, but now it is mostly fired with a push plate kiln, the pre-tropical and cooling belt is relatively long, but the firing zone is relatively short, and the time that often passes through the firing belt is not enough, resulting in the surface of the pot seems to be ripe, but the inside of the tire is not fully mature, or the side close to the flame has been cooked, and the side with the back fire is not very ripe, so, In winter, when the ambient temperature is very low, it is heated unevenly and cracks.
The bottom groove is flattened and covered with a stone scoop pot.
Use the purple sand pot in winter, warm the pot first, one can further clean the pot, the second can wake up the tea, and the third can let the purple sand moisten the "lungs" first, so that it can better play the breathing function, so as to brew a sweeter and more mellow tea soup.
