Last week I mentioned a few articles related to the principles of artificial intelligence, and today I will not talk about the technical principles, but talk about my feelings.
Last week, I participated in the Shenzhen International Artificial Intelligence Exhibition with the company, and talked with people in the industry or outside the industry about the development of artificial intelligence, and they all lamented that the development of AI is very fast now, and many people are going to lose their jobs. Admittedly, even Jeffrey Hinton, the godfather of artificial intelligence - the pioneer of deep learning networks, is pessimistic about the future of artificial intelligence, believing that there is a risk of replacing humans, but even so he still left Google and joined a robot research and development startup.
At present, the world has driven the popularity and development of artificial intelligence due to ChatGPT, and generative artificial intelligence is blooming everywhere, and we will have to embrace them sooner or later, and the combination of humans and artificial intelligence can accelerate the evolution of human beings faster.
It is also mentioned in the book "Generative Artificial Intelligence".
Generative AI frees everyone from mechanical labor and spends their time on creative work, bringing great support to text writers, translators, illustrators, editors, etc.
The above list is only to help some professions, in fact, it can also help but is not limited to assisting programmers in writing, reviewing, annotating, etc., and assisting scientists in scientific experiments, such as protein folding, chip design, etc.
This kind of tool to improve efficiency is obviously quietly changing everyone, and it is also influencing the new generation of new natives of artificial intelligence in the future. I remember that the "AI Future Progressive" co-authored by Kai-Fu Lee and Chen Qiufan in the integration of artificial intelligence knowledge popularization and science fiction envisioned a future world, where each child is born with an AI robot elf to help him learn and play, these robots have their own unique appearance, personality, and massive knowledge reserves, and the learning plan for each child is also tailor-made. Some people say, is this the case that teachers don't need it anymore? I don't think so, after all, humans are social species, and the atmosphere of a classroom and the mutual help between classmates are something that robots can't simulate. In addition, there is a worry that artificial intelligence knows so much knowledge, and in the future, human beings will fall into the information cocoon it has set, and there will be no more innovation, and artificial intelligence will control cognition.
Like the doubts given in Generative AI:
It remains to be seen whether there will come a time when human beings will fall into an AI-constructed information cocoon and cannot escape the shackles of databases.
In the future, our Internet world will inevitably be filled with all kinds of content generated by AI, as well as content generated by humans, and in terms of the speed of generation, the speed of AIGC is far faster, and the future may be dominated by AI content. In my opinion, this view ignores the fact that AIGC's content creation is also guided by people, and people constantly adjust and optimize the content through dialogue with AI, which actually accelerates the speed of the implementation of the content envisioned by their own brains. The human brain can go up to the moon for nine days and catch turtles in the five oceans. Why can't the speed of human innovation be accelerated by AIGC? You know, the speed of information transmission between neurons in the brain is close to the speed of light, which is the limit of the universe, as long as we use AI tools well, we can greatly reduce the cost of innovation for everyone. For example, many people have good invention ideas, but because the engineering ability can not be done, it will be gone, the future of robots, 3D printing is more mature, maybe many ordinary people can engage in invention and creation, the dream of imagination into reality is getting closer and faster. Throughout the history of human development, it is a process of constantly turning dreams into reality, which is a kind of future that is very exciting.
AIGC is nothing more than being "fed" enough human-created content, and imitation is greater than creation. In fact, AIGC is not a "copy monster".
Generative AI learns the joint probability distributions in the data, summarizes the existing data, and then creates new content.
It can also create, to get rid of the information cocoon of AI, what human beings have to do is to use AIGC as soon as possible to stimulate their creativity, and eliminate only low-level jobs with repetitive labor, just as the industrial revolution reduced a large number of farmers and textile craftsmen, but it also gave birth to engineers, workers, etc. Then the jobs of the future will strengthen everyone, and the potential of human beings will be continuously stimulated.
Finally, I want to imagine an interesting future job, that is, the sky painter, we look up at the clouds in the sky, the changes are endless, many like people and things on land, then, the means of AIGC can lower the threshold of this creation, even if people who can't draw, they can also capture the clouds through rich imagination, and then generate a similar imagination**, such as the following cases:
Fig. 10. Figure 11 "Like a Lying Puppy" is a leaf with a story.
Fig. 4. Picture 5 "Crocodile emerges from the back of the building" Patches of clouds are like sleeping blankets.
Fig. 1. Figure 2 "There is a fire dragon infested" picture.
3. Figure 4 "The Elephant Is Here Again" The elephant is here again.
Fig. Ten. 1. Figure 12 "Cute Little Dinosaur" sees the novelty from a different angle.
