Located in the heart of Beijing, Tiananmen Square is one of the most important symbols of the People's Republic of China. Tiananmen Square is also a favorite venue for national ceremonies. But today's splendid Tiananmen Square is not an ancient building, but a modern reconstruction. The reconstruction of Tiananmen Square was hidden from all Chinese. Why should Tiananmen Square be rebuilt? Why hide it from everyone else? 
Tiananmen Tiananmen was built by Chen Tianmen in the 18th year of Yongle in the Ming Dynasty, and its designer was the great architect Kuaixiang of the Ming Dynasty. Its prototype is to imitate the Chengtianmen built by Zhu Yuanzhang, Taizu of the Ming Dynasty, in Nanjing. There was a big gap between Chen Tianmen and the current Tiananmen until July 1457, when Chengtianmen was burned down by fire and the city tower was burned down. So in 14 65 it was announced that it would be rebuilt, and there was the current palace-like Tiananmen Square. At the end of the Ming Dynasty and the beginning of the Qing Dynasty, there were frequent wars, and Chengtianmen was destroyed again, and the Shunzhi Emperor of the Qing Dynasty ordered it to be rebuilt and renamed Tiananmen. In 1990, the Eight-Nation Coalition invaded Beijing, and Tiananmen Square was destroyed again, after which the Qing Dynasty and Beiyang were unable to repair Tiananmen Square due to lack of finance. By 1949, when the capital of ** and *** was set in Beiping, Tiananmen Square, which had lasted for more than 500 years, had long been dilapidated and overgrown with weeds. 
The military parade in front of Tiananmen Square was less than a few months before the founding ceremony on October 1. Because there is a military parade at the founding ceremony, there are many requirements for the venue. At that time, the only places in Beijing that could meet the requirements were Xiyuan Airport and Tiananmen Square, but Xiyuan Airport was far away from the city, inconvenient transportation, and lacked a review stand. In contrast, the dilapidated Tiananmen Square is a better choice, but the founding ceremony faces the world, and the dilapidated Tiananmen Square naturally cannot meet the requirements. So the Beijing Municipal Government began to repair Tiananmen Square, and due to the rush of time, they had to clean up all the weeds and garbage in Tiananmen Square, and then carry out new painting work. And a new flagpole was placed on Tiananmen Square, so Tiananmen Square was still so tall and brilliant in the video materials at that time. 
Since Tiananmen Square has already been partially repaired, and it does not affect its normal use, why did it choose to rebuild it later? And demolished this 500-year-old building, the reason for all this has to start from Xingtai **, in 1966 Xingtai ** affected the Beijing area. The main structure of the Tiananmen Tower was seriously damaged and deformed, and some of the beams and columns were even in a hollow state, which seriously threatened the lives of national leaders. After all, Tiananmen Square at this time was not just a simple ancient building, Tiananmen Square, which has hosted many national celebrations, has long become the faith in the hearts of the people. Once there is an accident, it will be a major blow to the country and the people, and it is decided to carry out a thorough repair work on the Tiananmen Tower. 
In fact, between 1949 and 1966, the flag was raised, and Tiananmen Square was repaired many times. However, due to the political situation and economic problems at home and abroad, it has always been a minor repair, and the original structural problems of the Tiananmen Tower have not been solved. Xingtai in 1966 caused all the problems of the Tiananmen Tower to erupt. Finally, in 1969, a decision was made to demolish the original Tiananmen Tower. It was rebuilt on its original scale and in the form of the original building, but the reconstruction was very difficult. In 1969, China was in the midst of internal and external troubles, first with its big brother on Zhenbao Island, and relations with the Soviet Union were tense. 
Tiananmen Square and the country is also experiencing unprecedented political turmoil, which has seriously interfered with the reconstruction of Tiananmen Square, for the reconstruction of Tiananmen Square. Under the instructions of the Prime Minister, a leading group for the reconstruction of the Tiananmen Tower was established. Strict secrecy was carried out, and it was decided to cover the Tiananmen Tower. However, the gate of Tiananlou is 66 meters high, 37 meters wide and 32 meters high, and it will take more than a month to erect it if it is erected with steel pipes. Considering that the leaders of *** and other countries were going to speak at Tiananmen Square on May 1, 1970, Labor Day. After Tiananmen Square was covered, even the staff of the nearby Zhongshan Park and the Cultural Relics Museum did not know what they were going to do, and the secrecy work was done very well. The rush of time was also a major hurdle to overcome at that time, in order to complete the work before Labor Day on May 1. The construction company had to work in the winter, and it took only a few months to complete the project for two or three years. At that time, many people thought that it was an impossible task, because the proposals given by foreign construction companies would take at least 3 to 5 years. In the end, the first decision was made and Beijing No. 5 Construction Engineering Company was chosen. During construction, it was found that the freshly mixed cement would be condensed by cold air before use. In order to solve this problem and ensure the temperature of the construction site, the construction team built a temporary boiler room in the nearby Zhongshan Park, and at the same time took the heat pipe. So much so that it is winter in Beijing, but it is as warm as spring on the Tiananmen construction site. This effectively ensures the smooth progress of the project. After these external pressures were resolved, new problems soon arose in the project. Tiananmen Square is a centuries-old structure that needs to be fully surveyed before it is demolished so that there are no mistakes when it is rebuilt. During the demolition of the tower, the construction team found a lot of new things, and found an old box between the ridges of the roof, which contained various gold, silver and bronze utensils. It is a rare antiquity, and finally handed over to the national treasury and the cultural relics museum. I don't know if this box was deliberately put away by the ancients, or accidentally omitted it? The most frightening thing was that a cannonball occurred when a worker was demolishing the wall, and as soon as the news came out, everyone was evacuated urgently. Could it be that it was installed by hostile elements? Later, I found out that this was originally left by the Eight-Nation Alliance, and several more were found later, but fortunately, there were none**. 
In the end, the public security department took away the shells and disposed of them. But it's scary to think about it, if these shells suddenly have problems on important occasions, it will be the biggest accident in the history of New China. Tiananmen Square is a huge wooden structure in ancient times, and the instructions are that it will not be moved and the dimensions will not change. Although after the reconstruction of Tiananmen Square, many new facilities were added, such as elevators, lights and heating. However, the huge wooden pillars inside the tower were difficult to find, and the construction team initially wanted to use logs from the primeval forests of Yunnan and Hainan. This is also the favorite wood of ancient buildings back then. Finally, considering the transportation problem, we chose to give up, and the wood imported from abroad should be treated with anti-corrosion, insect-proof and fire-proof. The end result is that a fire will not burn. In addition to its architectural difficulty, Tiananmen Square is also very artistic. There are many paintings and oil paints on the original ancient buildings, and the original state means that the construction team also has to restore these paintings. 
The chairman went up to Tiananmen Square, but the dragon and phoenix on the tower of the city had to go through 13 processes, and in order to increase the speed, the construction team was forced to develop a method that could increase the efficiency by a factor of 150. The painting was completed in a short period of time, but even so, there were disputes over the choice of paintings, with some arguing that the original golden dragon and jade seal were products of the feudal era. Yan'an Pagoda and Sunflower Xiangyang in the new era should be used, but some people think that since it is a renovation of an old building, it should be modified in strict accordance with the original appearance. The two sides argued endlessly, and finally believed that the dragon was a symbol of the Chinese nation, so it was necessary to burn the beast according to the original medicine. However, in terms of painting, you can choose some alternatives, such as using lotus flowers instead of golden dragon paintings. After the renovation, Tiananmen Square looks more atmospheric. 
There is also a trivia about Tiananmen Square, 6 kilograms of ** were used to build Tiananmen Square. You might as well guess where these ** are used? The answer is that it is used in the paint, and after the painting work is completed, the oilers must use bamboo clips to pick up the Jinbao and attach it to the undried paint, so as to achieve the effect of the original oil painting. The entire reconstruction of Tiananmen Square took 112 days, from December 15, 1969 to April 7, 1970. On the basis of retaining its original appearance and dimensions, as well as the layout of the structure, it strengthened its seismic resistance, and at the same time installed various modern facilities.
