On the afternoon of January 18, 2024, Zhang Jianfeng, a veteran of the Xi School of Beijing Peking Opera Company, and Guo Wei, a young Cheng School Tsing Yi master, participated in the 2024 Capital Academician and Expert New Year Gathering. For more than 300 academicians, expert representatives and family members from various fields and industries, they sang excerpts from "Shiro Visits His Mother and Sits in the Palace".

The party was jointly organized by the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Chinese Academy of Engineering and the Beijing Municipality, and in addition to the classic singing of Peking Opera, there were also poetry recitations, dances, choruses and other wonderful programs performed by artists and cultural talents in the capital. The whole performance gathered famous artists, traditional opera and new masterpieces complemented each other, telling the inspirational story of the patriotic struggle of the capital's talents, singing the strong voice of the times on the new journey of chasing dreams, and showing the prosperity of the capital's talent work in the new era.
