Zhao Yun was an outstanding general in the history of the Three Kingdoms, known for his bravery and resourcefulness, but also had some defeats. Here are some of the defeats that Zhao Yun has experienced:

Battle of Panhe: This was Zhao Yun's first battle, and he performed well in the battle, but in the ensuing battle, Zhao Yun was surrounded by Yuan Shao's army and eventually retreated. Although he rescued Gongsun Zhan, the entire battle situation was not favorable to Zhao Yun's side.

Battle of Changbanpo: During Liu Bei's escape, Zhao Yun is responsible for protecting Liu Bei's family. In Changbanpo, although Zhao Yun charged and broke through many times, in the face of the pursuit of Cao's army, he finally failed to completely block Cao's army, resulting in the loss of Liu Bei's family.

Battle of Jieting: During Zhuge Liang's first Northern Expedition, Zhao Yun and Deng Zhi set up an ambush in Keigu as suspicious troops. However, due to the loss of Ma Tan's defense of the street pavilion, the entire Northern Expedition plan was seriously affected. Although Zhao Yun successfully repelled Cao's army at Keigu, the failure of the entire strategy made this battle a defeat for Zhao Yun.

It should be noted that although Zhao Yun suffered defeats in these battles, his fighting spirit and loyal qualities are still praised by future generations. His important position and heroic image in history were not affected by these defeats.
