Battle of Changbanpo: During Liu Bei's escape, Zhao Yun is responsible for protecting Liu Bei's family. Battle of Jieting: During Zhuge Liang's first Northern Expedition, Zhao Yun and Deng Zhi set up an ambush in Keigu as suspicious troops. However, due to the loss of Ma Tan's defense of the street pavilion, the entire Northern Expedition plan was seriously affected. Although Zhao Yun successfully repelled Cao's army at Keigu, the failure of the entire strategy made this battle a defeat for Zhao Yun.
