In the face of the upcoming new round of cold waves, gales, low temperatures, rain, snow and freezing weather, the bureau has urged the garden and forestry departments and urban parks in all districts to take preventive and emergency measures at the first time, and go all out to ensure the smooth flow of urban roads, the safety of public parks and the clean and orderly environment of key areas.
At present, the bureau has organized the garden departments of various districts to strengthen the inspection of urban road greening, focusing on 248 road sections planted with evergreen trees such as camphor trees and privet on Donghu Road, Jianshe Avenue and Huiji Road, as well as trees damaged in the last round of disaster weather, and pruning and reinforcing trees with potential safety hazards to enhance the ability of trees to resist freezing rain.

The bureau also supervises the rational planning of park tour routes in urban parks, and sets up warning isolation belts in areas with dense evergreen trees. Strengthen the inspection of the park, clean up and dispose of fallen trees and broken branches in a timely manner, and remind the general public to avoid trees when visiting the park in freezing rain, heavy snow and other weather through public announcements and broadcasts, so as to avoid falling trees and broken branches and hurting people.
As of press time on the evening of the 18th, the garden departments of various districts have organized more than 3,200 emergency personnel, 90 aerial work vehicles, 605 trucks, and 385 chain saws on duty.
