The Substantial Transfer of Law Enforcement Powers in the Xiamen Jin Sea Area The mainland coast gua

In the recent high-profile maritime affairs, a series of measures taken by the China Coast Guard have aroused great concern from the people on both sides of the Taiwan Strait and the international community. In particular, in the Xiajinhai waters, a comprehensive normalized patrol operation to demonstrate national sovereignty and the authority of the rule of law has been carried out on a large scale, which not only marks the effective exercise of China's law enforcement power and jurisdiction over the Xiajinhai waters, but also reveals the historic changes in the pattern of order maintenance in the waters.

Our coast guard fleet has advanced into the Xiajin sea area with top ambition, and the most eye-catching of them is the Haijing 2203 ship, which was converted from the 053 series frigates that once served in the navy and is now the law enforcement force of the coast guard. Although some of its heavy armament was dismantled when it was handed over to the Coast Guard, this extraordinary maritime giant still retains its powerful four twin-mounted 37mm guns, and its indestructible strength symbolizes China's determination and strength to defend its territorial waters and interests.

In contrast, the so-called Coast Guard in Taiwan is particularly powerless in the face of the strong presence displayed by the mainland coast guard. In particular, when the Taiwan PP-3573 boat deployed in Kinmen tried to carry out "countermeasures", but could only expose its shortcomings, and challenge our 10,000-ton Haijing 2203 ship with a small speedboat with a displacement of only a few tens of tons, it was tantamount to hitting a stone with an egg. This seemingly tense maritime confrontation is in fact a vivid portrayal of the disparity in power, and the situation of Taiwan's local coast guard is like sitting on pins and needles, and it is difficult to save its own face and explain to the outside world the effectiveness of its law enforcement in the Xiamen-Jin waters.

In fact, when Taiwan's Coast Guard was aware of its own limitations, it still stubbornly sent ships to the scene, and its behavior was more to protect the ridiculous "face project". However, as can be seen from the footage at the scene, the Taiwanese boat wisely chose to turn around and leave after approaching our coast guard ship, which also confirms their clear and pragmatic understanding of the strength gap between the two sides. This scene is undoubtedly a ruthless slap in the face to the local authorities in Taiwan who have previously clamored for the so-called "continued law enforcement."

To sum up, it is a foregone conclusion that the law enforcement power in the Xiamen-Jin waters will change hands, and the mainland coast guard has shown an irrefutable dominance through regular patrols, while any so-called "countermeasures" by the Taiwan local coast guard will pale in the face of the mainland coast guard, like scratching an itch in the boots, and it is difficult to shake the overall situation. This situation is not only ironclad proof that China firmly defends its territorial integrity and maritime rights and interests, but also indicates that the Xiajin Sea will be under the orderly and legitimate national jurisdiction for a long time in the future.
