Mondo Social Updated on 2024-02-19

Vietnam GRS certification has the following basic requirements for working hours:

Workers are not allowed to work more than 48 hours per week on a regular basis. This is the standard working hours set out in accordance with international labour standards and is designed to ensure that workers have enough time to rest and recover.

Overtime is voluntary and must not exceed 12 hours per week. This means that workers have the right to choose whether or not to work overtime, and overtime hours should be limited to avoid overexertion.

The certification organization shall respect the right of all employees to rest by providing breaks before the work shift. This helps ensure that workers have enough rest, which increases productivity and safety.

After six consecutive days of work, workers should take at least one day off. This is to ensure that workers have enough time to rest and recover, and to avoid the negative impact of long hours of continuous work on physical and mental health.

Accreditation organizations are also expected to comply with the provisions of public holidays and annual leave. This means that workers should be entitled to statutory holidays and annual leave so that they can have adequate rest and reunification with their families.
