Vietnam's GRS certified wastewater treatment requirements mainly include the following aspects:
Certified companies must have an environmental policy manual. This manual should contain information on the company's responsible persons, as well as documentation procedures for minimizing and monitoring waste and emissions. In addition, it is necessary to describe how the company should respond to a wastewater incident, as well as to train employees on water conservation, energy conservation, chemical use and disposal, etc.
The wastewater should not contain any additives and should be cooled below 40 104 degrees Fahrenheit before it can be discharged.
Wastewater with a pH value of less than 6 or greater than 9 should be neutralized to between the above limits.
Wastewater that has not been treated as wastewater shall not be discharged. Wastewater can be treated in-house or by local authorities.
Certified companies are required to maintain a comprehensive documentation of chemicals, energy, water consumption and wastewater treatment, including the treatment of wastewater sediments.
In addition, the certification organization shall monitor and comply with the relevant legal regulations on wastewater and sewage, and keep records accordingly. At the same time, relevant and up-to-date licenses should be maintained and compliance should be adhered to. A drainage plan should be developed with a general understanding of where the wastewater is flowing and where it is discharged. Contaminant and wastewater quality parameters and their flow direction should also be identified. Finally, there should be a system in place to ensure that wastewater is properly treated off-site to meet minimum requirements before entering the stream.
