GB 21520-2023 "Display Energy Efficiency Limits and Energy Efficiency Ratings" (hereinafter referred to as the "new standard") was published on May 23, 2023, and will be implemented and replace GB 21520-2015 (hereinafter referred to as the "old standard") from June 1, 2024. CQC has revised the certification rules CQC31-452629-2016 "Computer Display Energy Conservation Certification Rules" involving this standard, involving the 701008 of subclass numbers. The requirements for the revision and implementation of the rules are as follows:

CQC31-452629-2023 "Display Energy Saving Certification Rules" replaces CQC31-452629-2016 "Computer Display Energy Saving Certification Rules", and the main changes are as follows:

1.1.The product name and scope of application have been modified, and the product name has changed the computer monitor to a monitor; In terms of display mode, organic light-emitting diode (OLED) display and light-emitting diode (LED) integrated display terminal are added;

1.2.The principle of division of certification units has been revised;

1.3. 4.2.1 Certification according to the standard, GB 21520-2023 replaces GB 21520-2015;

1.4.Modified the list of key components of the display.

2.1. This rule applies to the energy-saving certification of displays, and the scope of products to which this rule applies is the general purpose and commercial display with a screen diagonal size of not less than 40 cm, powered by AC or DC, and displayed by liquid crystal (LCD) and organic light-emitting diode (OLED).

2.2. This rule applies to AC or DC power supply, light-emitting diode (LED) as the display mode, and the pixel pitch is larger than 030 mm and no more than 260 mm, maximum brightness of no more than 3000 cd m2 LED integrated display terminal (hereinafter referred to as "LED all-in-one machine").

2.3 This rule does not apply to:

a) Professional monitors for image evaluation in the filming, production and broadcast of television programmes;

b) dual-screen displays;

c) Professional displays for industrial equipment, medical equipment, film projection, virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), converged reality (MR), extended reality (XR) and liquid crystal consoles (KVM KMM) and display products used only as accessories;

d) Only battery-powered displays are supported.

The quality of the products applied for certification shall meet the requirements of the corresponding country, industry standards or enterprise express standards.

LED display energy-saving certification is an important means to evaluate its energy efficiency, which is not only related to the performance and quality of products, but also directly affects the economic interests and environmental responsibility of users. Through energy efficiency certification, it can ensure that the LED display can meet the needs of use, achieve the purpose of energy conservation and emission reduction, and promote the healthy development of the industry.

4.1. Understand the certification standards: Before starting to apply for energy-saving certification, we must first understand the relevant certification standards and requirements in detail, such as national and industry standards, test methods, etc.

4.2. Prepare application materials: According to the requirements of the certification body, prepare complete application materials, including product manuals, technical specifications, test reports, etc.

4.3. Submit the application: Submit the prepared application materials to the certification body and pay the corresponding certification fee as required.

4.4 Testing and evaluation: The certification body will conduct energy efficiency testing and evaluation of the submitted products to ensure that their energy efficiency indicators meet the certification standards.

4.5. Certification review: After testing and evaluation, the certification body will review the application materials to confirm the energy efficiency level of the product.

4.6. Factory Audit: The certification body will send teachers to the actual production address of the factory for inspection.

4.67 issuance of certificates: After passing the audit, the certification body will issue an energy-saving certificate to prove that the product has reached the corresponding energy-saving standards.

5.1 Understand the certification cycle and cost in advance to ensure you have enough time and budget to prepare.

5.2. Ensure the authenticity and completeness of the application materials, and avoid false declarations or omissions of information.

5.3. Actively cooperate with the testing and evaluation work of the certification body to ensure the smooth progress of the certification process.

5.4. After the certification is passed, update the product identification and promotional materials in time to show the energy-saving advantages of the product.
