Following the success of several popular artists, Phillips will release American conceptual artist Rob Pruitt's famous "Panda" series on February 6 at 10:00 ET (23:00 CET) on DropShopphillips.com for instant purchases. Rob Pruitt lives and works in a variety of New York mediums, including painting, installation, and sculpture, and has been painting pandas since 2001, playing with vivid pinks, bright yellows, psychedelic pastels, and blues.
Rob Pruitt's work embodies a fearless embrace of today's society and pop culture, with his creations including sparkling panda paintings, 2,922 paintings painted daily during the time of former Obama in office, an eBay charity flea market, a Hollywood-style art awards ceremony, and an ever-updated calendar of social Instagram events.
The February Dropshop will feature Rob Pruitt's new silkscreen-printed "Hoarfrost Panda," produced by Powerhouse Arts, which can be purchased separately ($2,250), in a set of four ($8,500) or as a set of eight ($15,000).
The Hoarfrost Panda collection is inspired by the phenomenon of hoarfrost, when moisture freezes and forms a feathery, fluffy frost on a clear night, immersing the artist's iconic panda motif in a cool, shimmering environment. The artist shared, "There is a majesty in nature, and nature inspires everyone....Sadly, we have proven that we are not reliable guardians of the planet, but seem to be leading our world to its demise. A lot of the artwork I create is an attempt to contribute to this wake-up call. ”
