When his wife sent the finished coat to ***, ** said to his wife emotionally:

You often buy something and come back, and you make me a coat, what shall I repay you? ”

On September 27, 1955, he was awarded the rank of Marshal of the People's Republic of China.

After being rated as a marshal, ** never wanted to wear a marshal's uniform on occasions other than what he had to wear, he felt it was too fancy. **The marshal looked at fame and fortune very lightly, and when he knew that he was going to be awarded the rank of marshal, he once offered to ** to give up the title: "Since the revolution has been successful, it doesn't matter if you are a marshal or not." ”

At this time, when *** faced the "conditions" proposed by his beloved wife, who had been with her for nearly 10 years, he didn't say a word, and put on the marshal's dress, just to let his beloved wife take a look.

And Marshal ***'s wife is Huang Jie, who graduated from the Whampoa Military Academy, got married at the age of 36, shared weal and be with Marshal *** for 44 years, and died at the age of 98.

Huang Jie, born on October 4, 1910 in a wealthy scholarly family on Xihu Road, Haoxue Town, Jiangling County, Hubei Province, has lived a worry-free life since he was a child.

At the age of 14, due to the early death of her father, her uncle who raised her arranged a marriage for her, Huang Jie resisted hard and had a big fight with her uncle, and she decided to escape from this feudal family when she knew that the trouble was fruitless, so she went to Wuhan from her hometown Jiangling alone.

Huang Jie, who came to Wuhan, went to his hometown and ran to his friends, living a wandering life.

At the age of 16, that is, in 1926, the Wuhan branch of the Whampoa Military Academy began to recruit students and began to recruit female students. Huang Jie resolutely decided to apply for the exam. At that time, the exam topic was "The Difference Between Social Evolution and Revolution", and Huang Jie wrote only 108 words in the whole article, to the effect that social progress is natural, and revolution is artificial.

She only did two of the other eight questions, so that she didn't want to look at them until the day the list was released, because she knew that she didn't do well in the exam. But in the end, she still went, and when she arrived at the school, she saw her name on the admission list, and changed four words next to her name: Ruzi can be taught.

Huang Jie, who was admitted to the military academy, cut his hair short, happily took a photo and sent it home, but he didn't expect to be scolded by his uncle as the scum of the family.

At that time, *** was the captain of the first team of the political brigade, Huang Jie would not have thought that she would marry him 20 years later, and she would be with him for the rest of her life.

Huang Jie, who first entered the school, didn't understand anything, in the school, she and her comrades-in-arms received strict military training, got up at five o'clock and quickly got up to exercise, running, in the queue of girls who ran together, there were a large number of women heroes such as Zeng Guofan's descendants, Zeng Xianzhi, who later became the wife of the marshal, and Zhao Yiman, a famous anti-Japanese hero.

In April 1927, Chiang Kai-shek openly betrayed the revolution in Shanghai.

In July 1927, Wang Jingwei openly betrayed the revolution in Wuhan.

They finally tore off the mask of hypocrisy and turned their guns on the broad masses of workers and peasants, and countless Communists fell under the butcher's knife of the enemy.

At this time, the Wuhan branch of the Whampoa Military Academy decided to end its course ahead of schedule, and the girls' team was forced to disband, and all female students who received their graduation diplomas could leave the school freely, continue their studies in the local government, or stay in school and follow the troops to evacuate Wuhan.

At this time, as long as he went up the river, Huang Jie, who could return to Jiangling, did not choose to return to the feudal family of the rich side to be a lady who wore red and green, silver and gold, but resolutely chose to join the party under the most critical situation.

In 1928, 18-year-old Huang Jie was appointed by the party organization to come to Songzi County, Hubei Province as the first secretary of the county party committee.

18 years old, for most girls, is the time to be a young girl. Eighteen-year-old Huang Jie has grown into a tenacious county party secretary under the leadership of the party, and under Huang Jie's direct instigation and organization, the Songzi County Party Committee launched a vigorous anti-smoking campaign and stormed the prison to rescue the imprisoned toiling masses.

At that time, the local tyrants and bullies in Songzi County were rampant, and the poor people suffered greatly, so Huang Jie organized the local people and students to rush into the homes of the local tyrants and bullies in one fell swoop, confiscated the big smoking guns in their hands, and opened their private cells to rescue a large number of innocent laborers who were imprisoned here.

However, the local tyrants and bullies who did not give up colluded with the local reactionary forces to form a militia to retaliate against the broad masses of the people under the leadership of the Communist Party.

In 1929, Huang Jie held an uprising under the instructions of his superiors, and under the personal command of Huang Jie, the peasants of Jiulinggang in Songzi County held a "riot".

In 1930, 20-year-old Huang Jie was assigned by the organization to Shanghai as a secret traffic officer for *** and other comrades.

At this time, the White Terror in Shanghai was very serious, and Huang Jie often disguised himself as people of different identities to shuttle under the noses of the enemy.

But unfortunately, in May 1933, Huang Jie was imprisoned in Tilanqiao Prison in the British Concession in Shanghai**, and the enemy tried all kinds of ways to pry open the mouth of this young girl who was only 23 years old, but Huang Jie gritted his teeth and never revealed his true identity, and the enemy sentenced her to 5 years in prison for "endangering **" when he found nothing.

Huang Jie's sentencing was highly valued by Song Qingling. She brought in a prominent barrister to defend her. In the end, with the full help of Song Qingling, Huang Jie's sentence was commuted to two and a half years.

In 1935, Huang Jie ended his career behind bars. The arduous life behind bars not only did not make Huang Jie depressed, but made her more determined.

In 1940, Wang Jie left the white area where she had worked for many years and came to Yan'an, where she met *** for the second time

The first time they met was 14 years ago at the Wuhan branch of the Whampoa Military Academy, when *** was the captain of the political detachment. Although Huang Jie has heard of it, she has not had much contact.

At that time, ***'s body was very weak. There was no one around to take care of him, so under the guidance of Su Jingguang, who was also the Minister of Health, Huang Jie and *** gradually came together.

In the second year after the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, that is, in May 1946, 36-year-old Huang Jie married 45-year-old ***. Since then, the two have relied on each other to help each other, shared weal and woe, and have gone through 44 spring and autumn seasons together.

The wedding was very simple, some of the comrades-in-arms gave a chicken, and some gave a duck. One is to congratulate, and the other is to take advantage of the opportunity of marriage to replenish the body. Then the couple said a few words and the wedding was over. Although the wedding seems to be ordinary, for *** and Huang Jie, it is a real promise between the two hearts, and they are heart-to-heart.

At the beginning of 1947, Chiang Kai-shek ordered Hu Zongnan to launch a key offensive against Yan'an, and decided to abandon Yan'an on his own initiative, and decided to transfer the rear organs and non-combatants to the Jinsui liberated area in batches.

At this time, Huang Jie, who was already pregnant, was difficult to transfer with the large army.

In this year, Huang Jie and ***'s son Xu Xiaoyan was born. But at this time, *** was on the front line with illness commanding the operation. In order not to distract her husband, Huang Jie never told *** the news When *** learned the news, the 46-year-old battle-hardened veteran was extremely happy.

In 1948, only one lonely city in Linfen was entrenched by the enemy, ** Before attacking Linfen, he firmly said to his wife: If you can't beat Linfen, you won't come back!

When Linfen City was about to fall, ** wrote to his wife, and she said emotionally:

When leaving the pottery, the snow was all over the ground, and now the ears of wheat are like waves. Although time is fast, and Linfen will fall, the heart of thinking will be relieved.

The difficulty of attacking Linfen City, the length of time, the great consumption, and the tragic situation of the battle are rare in the history of the development of the Shanxi-Hebei-Shandong-Henan Military Region. In these 72 days and nights, ** led the troops to fight in the front, Huang Jie took her son in the rear, and she was always worried about her husband who was sick and commanding the battle in the front.

The People's Republic of China was founded on October 1, 1949.

Huang Jie was appointed as the director of the Cadre Department of the Ministry of Textile Industry, and her long-term life of revolutionary struggle made her develop a highly dedicated spirit and a hard and simple style.

When Beijing was first liberated, the *** family who did not arrange a house was arranged in the Summer Palace. At that time, it was very far from where Huang Jie worked, but she insisted on taking the bus to and from home and work every day. In order to work, she takes the last bus back home almost every night. The family was equipped with a car, which he had never ridden before. Although she was a marshal's wife, she had no arrogance at all and was very kind to her comrades.

On September 27, 1955, Xu Xiangqian was awarded the rank of Marshal of the People's Republic of China.

Huang Jie made a coat for her husband, and when she sent the finished coat to ***, ** said to his wife emotionally:

You often buy something and come back, and you make me a coat, what shall I repay you? ”

Simple, you can show me your marshal's uniform, and you will be repaid. The wife said to *** jokingly.

***, who has never worn a marshal's dress, faced with the "conditions" proposed by his beloved wife who has been with her for nearly 10 years at this time, he didn't say a word, and put on the marshal's dress, just to let his beloved wife take a look.

During the ten years of haze, ** was affected like many old marshals, and Huang Jie, the marshal's wife, was also censored. Huang Jie's experience of being imprisoned in Shanghai in the 30s made her framed as a "traitor".

In order not to implicate her husband, Huang Jie proposed separation to Marshal ***, and Marshal said firmly to his wife: "I understand you!" ”

Comrade Huang Jie accepted the organization's examination with a correct attitude. The comrades who investigated in Shanghai found all the files of Huang Jie from ** to his release, and they were neatly organized. After investigating from beginning to end, the conclusion was that Comrade Huang Jie never betrayed the organization, nor did he betray the leadership, nor did he betray his comrades. In the end, with the personal intervention of ***, the safety of Huang Jie and his family was guaranteed.

On September 21, 1990, Marshal ** died in Beijing at the age of 89.

After the death of her husband, Huang Jie remembered her most beloved relatives in her own way.

In the room where they lived together, all the furnishings were the same as the husband was when he was alive. She never touched a single place. Even the wooden staircase that her husband often walks up and down the stairs is the same as before, and when Huang Jie stands at the bottom of the stairs, he seems to be able to hear the squeaking sound of the floor leather when her husband walks on the floor.

On the occasion of the centenary of Marshal ***'s birth, Huang Jie also put his 90th birthday and birthday together to express his infinite thoughts about his husband.

In his later years, Huang Jie lived a simple and peaceful life, still reading newspapers every day and caring about national affairs.

At 8 a.m. on June 18, 2007, Huang Jie died of heart failure in Beijing at the age of 98.

In accordance with Huang Jie's wishes, the children scattered her ashes back to his hometown, near the waters of the Yangtze River in Gangneung. was scattered into the Yangtze River together with some of the ashes of Marshal ***, who had been with her all her life.

The children only wish that the two old people will always be with each other.
