Jiafu is known as the "family of poetry and hairpins", and has always paid attention to cumbersome etiquette, so as to show the scene of the grand activities of the wealthy family, highlighting the luxury and exquisiteness of the aristocratic house. The Chinese New Year's Eve festival is one of these grand scenes. The 53rd time, it is already the month of La, and the year is approaching, and Mrs. Wang and Sister Feng are doing the New Year's affairs. On Jia Zhen's side, the ancestral hall was opened, and people cleaned it, packed up the offerings, invited the gods, and cleaned the upper room to prepare for the hanging of the true image of the confession. Inside and outside Jiafu, they are all busy. In a blink of an eye, on the twenty-ninth day of the lunar month, all kinds of colors are ready, and the two mansions have changed the door gods, joint pairs, and the new oil peach charm is new. Ningguo Mansion is ...... from the gate, the instrument gate, the hall, and the warm pavilionUntil the main hall, the main gate is wide open, and the stairs on both sides are lined with large vermilion candles, and the two golden dragons are lit. The next day was Chinese New Year's Eve, the last day of the year, and the Jia family was the busiest. First of all, Jia Mu led the people who had the seal, dressed in court clothes according to the grade, sat in an eight-person sedan chair into the palace to congratulate, and returned after the salute and banquet, and then went to Ningguo Mansion to warm the sedan chair. Enter the ancestral hall with the children who have been waiting in front of the mansion for a long time. 
The ancestral hall is another courtyard in the west of Ningguo Mansion, five gates in the black oil fence, a plaque is hung on it, and the four words of "Jia's Ancestral Hall" are written, and the book is "Yansheng Gong Kong Jizong Book". There is a long couplet on both sides, which reads: "The liver and brain are smeared on the ground, and the surname Zhao is based on the grace of conservation; The fame is all over the world, and hundreds of generations are steaming and tasting. "The Book of the Holy Father's Office. The white stone road in the courtyard, both sides are green pines and cypresses, and the platform is set up with green bronze Ding Yi and other instruments. A Kowloon gold plaque is hung on the front of the building, and it is written: "Xinghui Fubi", which is the imperial pen of the first emperor. A couplet on both sides reads: "The meritorious cause has the glory of the sun and the moon, and the fame and grandchildren are endless." "It's also a royal pen. In front of the five main halls, a dragon is hung in front of the green plaque, which reads: "Be cautious and chase the distance". A couplet next to it reads: "The descendants have inherited the blessings, and Li Shu still misses Rongning." "It's all a royal pen. 
The scale of the Jia family ancestral hall is very large, which is related to the status and power of the ancestor Ning Rong's second duke. Among them, the plaques and couplets of Baoxia and the main hall are written by the imperial pen of the emperor, which shows the special favor of the royal family to the Jia family and the infinite glory of the Jia family. The Chinese New Year's Eve Ancestral Hall of Ningguo Mansion is divided into two parts. The main hall is dedicated to the ancestors and ancestors. I saw that the incense and candles in the main hall were brilliant, and the brocade curtain was embroidered, and the gods were listed. The people of Jiafu are divided into Zhaomu and set up shifts. The book wrote, "Everyone followed Jia Mu to the main hall, the brocade curtain in front of the shadow was hung high, the color screen was protected, and the incense candles were brilliant. There are the statues of Ning Rong's two ancestors hanging in the center above, all of which are covered with python waist jade, and there are several scrolls of ancestors on both sides. Jia Xun, Jia Zhi and others stood one after another from the Neiyi Gate until they were under the corridor of the main hall. Outside the threshold is Jia Jing and Jia Yu, and inside the threshold are the female dependents. All the family members are outside the Yimen. 
Every dish arrived, passed to Yimen, Jia Xun, Jia Zhi, etc., and passed it to Jia Jing on the stairs, Jia Rong was the grandson of the chief of the house, and he was the only one with his daughter in the threshold. Mrs. Wang passed it to Jia's mother, and Jia's mother held it on the table. Mrs. Xing is in the west of the offering table, standing in the east, and offering to Jia's mother. ”
The cumbersome ceremonies are unruly and solemn. Until the end of the vegetable rice soup and wine dishes, I Jia Mu bowed down with incense, and everyone knelt down together, and the five halls, three hugging the building, the inner and outer corridors, the two Dan piers on the upper and lower steps, the flowers were clustered, and there was no gap in the open space. The crows were silent, only listening to the sonorous jingling, the sound of the golden bell and jade pendant swaying slightly, and the sound of kneeling boots. After a while, everyone withdrew. After the festival was over, Jia's mother returned to Rongfu after taking a break in You's upper room. On the street from Ningguofu to Rongguofu, there is a band of honor guards and deacons of the two prefectures, and pedestrians are unable to pass by. 
Jia's mother's main room is also a brocade embroidered screen, which has a new look, and the old lady accepted Jia Jing, Jia Yu and other children here, as well as the ladies and maids. On the first day of the first five drums, Jia Mu and others made up according to the product, and put all the deacons into the palace to congratulate, and wished the Yuan Spring Thousand Autumns. When he came back from the feast, he went to Ningfu to worship his ancestors. On the morning of the seventeenth day of the first lunar month, he went to Ningfu to salute, waited to cover the ancestral hall, and received the image. At this point, the Chinese New Year's Eve festival is officially over. Through Cao Gong's meticulous description of the sacrificial activities of Jiafu, we see the former glory of the Jia family and the current extravagance. From the Chinese New Year's Eve Festival to the Lantern Festival Night Banquet, it is the peak of the prosperity of Jia Mansion in the whole Dream of the Red Mansion. After that, it began to go uphill and downhill, and finally decayed and declined, until the family was scattered and destroyed.
