"I asked you to ask Chief of Staff Zheng, how could you arrest him? And beat him to death? The root of this misunderstanding can be traced back to a report letter, in February 1940, the Bolai (Boshan) County Public Security Bureau received a report letter saying that Zheng Xing, chief of staff of the third detachment of the Shandong Column of the Eighth Route Army, was a traitor and had a deal with the Japanese.
Zheng Xing, a local farmer, was fed up with the exploitation of the landlords and decided to go to the northeast. In Tohoku, he met a confidante and was inspired by the cultural knowledge and care she taught, and began to study hard.
Later, he was admitted to the police academy and was sent to handle foreign affairs. In the process, he gained a wealth of contacts and social experience, and learned to deal with Japanese people.
After the September 18 Incident in 1931, many hot-blooded men came forward to participate in the anti-Japanese action. Wang Delin, a fellow villager of Zhengxing, with the support of underground worker Li Yanlu, formed the "Rescue **".
Wang Delin and Zheng Xing are good friends, and they are also fellow villagers in Shandong, so he recommended Zheng Xing to Wang Delin as the judge and commander of the Fifth Brigade. Facts have proved that Wang Delin's recommendation is very correct.
Zheng Xing was not only good at training troops and improving their combat effectiveness, but he also did a lot of work to improve the situation of the troops. In the battle with the Japanese army, the rescue ** won several victories in a row, which brought great deterrence to the enemy.
For this reason, Major General Amano of the Japanese Kwantung Army was very angry, and he mobilized more than 1,000 Japanese troops, including infantry, cavalry and artillery, from Jilin to Dunhua County, established a stronghold, and tried to eliminate the rescue **.
Despite the ferocity of the Japanese army and the excellent armament, most of the people who saved the army were unwilling to give up the anti-Japanese banner and turned to bandits. They decided to use their familiarity with the terrain and guerrilla tactics to move their troops to the mountainous area of Jingpo Lake to engage the enemy.
The strategy was successful, their situation improved, they also had some victories, and they managed to expand the size of their team. However, with the increase in the number of personnel, the problem of food, military uniforms, military salaries, ** and other materials has become more and more serious.
In this regard, Zheng Xing assured Wang Delin that he could solve the problem. So, he and Li Yanlu disguised themselves as businessmen, came to Ning'an County, and invited the boss of the pseudo "Guanyin Qian", the pseudo county magistrate, the director of the tax bureau, the director of the public security bureau and other people to attend the luxurious banquet.
These people have dealt with Zheng Xing and can be regarded as friends, so they gave Zheng Xing some face. At the banquet, Zheng Xing said to these people: "We are anti-Japanese, I will give you a chance to make a fortune, cut off my head and hand it over to the Japanese." ”
Zheng Xing lost weight during the anti-Japanese struggle, and he said touching words that made those present respect him. Zheng Xing said: "I know you can't bear to hurt me, because we are all Chinese.
If you are not willing to betray me, you cannot see death without salvation. Our brethren are starving and cold, and they are still fighting the Japanese. Zheng Xing's words deeply touched the people present, and they donated 200,000 yuan at one time to relieve the urgent need to save **.
However, the cost of saving ** is very large, and such a fortuitous donation cannot solve the problem. Soon they were again in a difficult situation and could not continue to confront the Japanese army. In 1932, the Japanese army carried out a larger-scale encirclement and suppression of the anti-Japanese forces in the Jidong area, and the situation of saving the first was more difficult.
In this case, Guan Qinglu, the commander of the 21st Brigade that saved **, became a traitor, and another general, Ding Chao, also became a deserter. The rescue of tens of thousands of people began to decline from then on, and was later severely damaged and disintegrated.
Zheng Xing, Wang Delin and others were forced to flee to the territory of the Soviet Union. During their time in the USSR, they saw the power of the Red Revolution.
Zheng Xing had to leave his hometown in Northeast China to return to Shandong in 1935 because he was wanted by the Japanese Kwantung Army, and at the end of December 1937, the Japanese invaders occupied Boshan, and under this leadership, he established the "Shandong People's Anti-Japanese Salvation ** 6th Front Army", and served as the chief of staff, devoting himself to the cause of the Anti-Japanese War.
However, in June 1938, he was transferred to the 3rd Detachment of the Shandong Column of the Eighth Route Army, where he still served as chief of staff. He encountered a shortage of food, clothing and ammunition in the army, so he began to raise funds, food, and medicine in the Luzhong Mountains, establish personal connections, collect materials, and make contributions to consolidating the anti-Japanese base area in the Qinghe Plain.
However, some people reported that he was doing business with the Japanese and engaging in steel, this was because at that time, the Jiang army did not provide the first ammunition to the expanded Eighth Route Army, and the third detachment could only solve it by itself, and they built an arsenal in the mountainous area of Luzhong and began to manufacture guns and ammunition on their own.
Zheng Xing knew that the arsenal needed high-quality steel to produce firearms, and the Japanese army controlled these materials, so he tried to break into the enemy-occupied area and buy steel through acquaintances to meet the normal production of the arsenal.
Although many of these materials were raised through the upper echelons of the enemy and puppet, leading some people to question that he might become a traitor, the head of the detachment understood the facts, but due to the severity of the situation, Zheng Xing's work needed to be kept secret, and they could not explain it publicly.
Therefore, the two Eighth Route Army soldiers went to Zheng Xing because Zheng Xing often went to the mountainous area of Luzhong to raise supplies, and the organization equipped him and the guards with a war horse, but Zheng Xing sold the horse to save money and help solve the problem of the army's financial difficulties.
At the beginning of January 1940, Zheng Xing and guard Wang Jingting traveled from Dongchi Village in Chishang Town to Guozhuang East Village in order to raise supplies for the troops. They struggled to walk in the night, and because of his age, Zheng Xing slipped on a corner and fell into a ravine more than ten meters deep, breaking his left leg.
Fortunately, the guards rescued him in time and took him home to recuperate. However, just as Zheng Xing was recovering from his injuries and preparing to return to the army, two new cadres of the Eighth Route Army appeared.
According to the decision of the Luzhong District, they needed Zheng Xing to return to work in the army. However, due to the noise in the room, the chief's voice was not loud when he explained the task, and the two cadres heard "invited" as "arrested" and took out their guns.
At this moment, the guard Wang Jingting went out. What is sad is that this veteran anti-Japanese comrade with outstanding merits was unfortunately injured by his own people and was shot to death.
When Zheng Xing died, he saw the enemy glaring angrily and the pistol smoking, but he did not close his eyes until he died. After organizing an investigation and verification, a decision was made on February 12, 1979 to rehabilitate Zhaoxue and posthumously recognize him as a martyr.
