The art of the Jing duxian, which is spread in the Jing settlement area of Dongxing City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, is a traditional instrumental art owned by the Jing people, including the art of making the duxianqin and the art of playing the duxian.

Guangxi is the only ethnic minority autonomous region near the sea in China, and enjoys the reputation of "the best landscape in the world". Its history and culture are rich and have given birth to many national arts, among which the art of the Jing duxianqin is the most eye-catching.

There are two theories on the history of the duxian: one is that it originated in China, and the other is that it originated in Vietnam and was brought to the three islands by the ancestors of the Jing people. Since 1511, the Jing people have moved to the current settlement for nearly 500 years, and although they have been influenced by the Han and Zhuang ethnic cultures, the art of the duxianqin has always maintained strong national characteristics. However, with the process of globalization and modernization, the values of the Jing people have changed, and the inheritance of Duxian culture is facing difficulties.

In 2011, Su Chunfa won the first prize in the National Intangible Cultural Heritage Show for his outstanding performance, fully demonstrating his artistic charm.

The art of the Jing duxian is a treasure of Guangxi culture, which profoundly reflects the cultural traditions and spiritual outlook of the local people. This art has unique historical, artistic and academic value, and is an important carrier for connecting national identities and promoting cultural exchanges. It promotes national culture, promotes social harmony, and enriches the diversity of world cultures. For Guangxi, it is a symbol of regional culture, which enhances Guangxi's popularity and reputation, and injects new vitality into local economic development.
