In January of this year, the 1st Corps of the Royal Guard, which was attached to the 1st Corps, launched an offensive around the village of Novoselivsk, the first of which was located in the village of Krokhmalinje, located on the P07 highway (about 5 km from the village of Novoselivsk and where there were 10 people before the war).
The village of Krochmalinje is not large, and the topography to the east of the village is the focus of the Russian army's defense.
Therefore, the capture of the village of Krochmalgne by the ** people is equivalent to the capture of a piece of high ground to the east of the village.
Around 21 January, the ** army advanced towards the P07 motorway, occupying 7 kilometres ahead and crossing the road south of the village of Krochmalinje.
Since the confrontation between the Russian and Ukrainian armies, there have been very few large-scale battlefield changes, let alone the northern front.
It is obviously unconscionable that the 47th Guards Combat Vehicle Unit of the Russian Army is advancing forward with such ease. The divisional units later acted more courageously, re-crossing the heights and launching an offensive towards Tabaiivka.
It is a small settlement, with a small population, located in a valley, the terrain is dangerous, and most of the Ukrainian army is concentrated on the high ground west of the village.
Therefore, the loss of a village is not a big problem, the Ukrainian army only needs to hold the high ground on the west side of the village and wait for the arrival of rescue troops to reoccupy the village and force the ** people to the road to the east.
However, in the days that followed, the ** people seized the vital village of the western highlands.
So far, the Russian army infantry fighting vehicle No. 47 has occupied two residential areas with a length of up to 5 kilometers and a width of up to 7 kilometers.
They occupy the commanding heights of the entire P07 highway, creating an excellent fighting environment.
How good is the situation?
In the rear of the Ukrainian army, both Kislivka and Kotlyaryivka were attacked by the Ukrainian army, both villages are large and both are relatively high, and they are the center of the offensive of the Ukrainian army.
Now that the Russians have come to the rear of the fort, it is likely that there will be more pressure on their supply lines, which will also be of great benefit to the Russians to take the fort.
From here, head west on Highway 07 to the eastern city of Kupyansk.
Because of the defense of the Ukrainian army, the Russian army did not really advance into the city, but there are not many residential areas on the front line, and it is easier to fight.
On top of that, the Russians had taken control of the heights to the west, and if they took one more, they would be able to reach the east side of the Oskil River.
At that time, the Russians will be able to occupy the high ground and put a lot of pressure on the offensive of the Ukrainian army, which will be very helpful both in Kupyansk and in Redman in the south.
Therefore, the performance of the No. 47 infantry fighting vehicle during this period is not limited to these two villages, and more importantly, it will become an important part of future wars.
Compared to the 2nd Infantry, the 4th Infantry, or the 7th Infantry Wing, the 47th Infantry Infantry Division is a completely new unit.
This is due to the fact that it originally belonged to the No. 6 tank unit, which had just been reorganized shortly after the Russian-Ukrainian war began. With the brigade as a unit, although the name has been changed, the improvement of equipment and troops is not achieved overnight. It will only become stronger in the next war.
Compared to the situation on the Russian side, the strength of the Ukrainian army is 103 Territorial Defense Brigade.
The brigade is subordinate to the Lviv region and was a unit of the Ukrainian ** army during the Kharkiv counterattack, and has been stationed here since as a defensive unit.
It has 62, 63, 64, 65, 66, 67, and one directly subordinate to the engineer company, communications company, and mortar company.
As a local defense force, there is naturally no heavy **, and brigade-level artillery is only equipped with mortar shells, and its biggest role is to "fill in the line".
Lviv is the most "anti-Russian" state in Ukraine because of its historical ties with Russia, and the army of this state is the primary target of the Russian army.
This time, Russia sent 47 Guards tanks to attack the 103rd Territorial Defense Brigade of the Ukrainian Army, and their ** and ** both had the absolute upper hand.
However, although the Ukrainian army is a native defense force, its combat capability is still very strong, and when the Russians attacked, some heavy equipment was also destroyed.
But now, the firepower of the Ukrainian army has been greatly weakened, especially on the Kupyansk front, where their limited firepower is concentrated in Sinkiivka in the north, and the defense capability is greatly limited.
The communications commander of this unit, Vladimir Timyak, was killed under the attack of ** people.
It is in this way that the Russians cut off the communications of the 103 Brigade, plunging the entire Ukrainian army into chaos, and as soon as the front line is relaxed, it will be forcibly advanced by heavily armed troops.
Due to the lack of sufficient artillery support, the Ukrainian army had to choose to retreat, giving Russia an opportunity to take advantage of.
Therefore, the Ukrainian army dismissed the commander of the 103rd Territorial Defense Brigade, Valery Kurko, from his post on the grounds of "abandoning positions".
At the same time, the Ukrainian army has assembled a mobile unit in Kupyansk and made a ** attack on the occupied places, but so far there has been no major breakthrough.
