The Spring Festival, family reunion, is also the peak period of electricity consumption. Under the high-voltage towers and transmission lines, the power linemen who inspect get up early and stay late to "check the pulse" of the power lines and protect the light of thousands of households.
There are 3 peaks in the Lanying Grand Canyon in Wuxi County, Chongqing City, which are vividly called by the locals - Blade Mountain. On the steep ridge of Blade Mountain, the electric tower stands. The line connected by the tower is the first 110 thousand volt line in Wuxi County, and the entire line spans the Lanying Grand Canyon with a length of 23 kilometers. Through this line, the clean energy of the hydropower station at the foot of the Blade Mountain is continuously sent to the substation in Wuxi County.
In order to ensure the safe and stable operation of power lines during the Spring Festival, the employees of State Grid Chongqing Wuxi Power Supply Company climbed the blade mountain to inspect and maintain the line equipment.

Beware of thorns on the side of the road and watch out for slippery ...... steep slopesChen Shaoli, the leader of the transmission operation and maintenance team, reminded everyone to pay attention to safety while cleaning up tree barriers with a machete.
The low temperature and high physical exertion test the employees of the transmission operation and maintenance team of the State Grid Chongqing Wuxi Power Supply Company, who need to climb over 5 mountains and hike through the narrow and steep 10-kilometer mountain road to reach the equipment point that needs to be inspected and maintained.
The first time I patrolled the line, I got lost and couldn't get out of the mountain for several hours. Recalling the scene when he first joined the work, Deng Qinghua, a young lineman, smiled and sighed.
The mountain road is difficult to walk and full of thorns. After 4 hours of arduous trekking, the patrol personnel arrived at the tower, everyone worked together, carefully checked the fastening degree of the tower, used a telescope to check the poles, wires, wiring, etc., and with the help of infrared thermometers, the wiring and equipment were detected for overheating, without missing any detail.

Before you know it, it's 4 p.m. The linemen took out biscuits and ham from their pockets, replenished their strength with the water in the cups, and continued to patrol the line after filling their stomachs.
As night fell, the linemen of the transmission operation and maintenance team ended their day's line patrol work and returned to Wuxi County, where thousands of homes were brightly lit. Looking at the brightly lit city, 50-year-old Wang Guohui said the most simple New Year's wish - to fully protect the safety of the power grid and use "full" electricity to protect the lights of thousands of homes.
In the eyes of ordinary people, patrolling the line on the top of the steep mountain is already very hard, but for the power lineman, it is just their daily work. Transmission line inspection is an ordinary and hard work, they measure the city with their feet, and protect the light with responsibility.
