** The Rotor Inspider Shimano Direct-Mount disc jaw can turn an existing XTR, XT, or even SLX crank into the most professional mountain bike power meter. Thanks to the new 4-bolt 100BCD, you can use round or oval 1x cranksets as small as 30t.
In the first half of last year, we saw a lighter, sleeker** Inspider MTB power meter for Rotor's own carbon fiber cranks. Now, any mountain biker with a Hyundai Shimano 1X direct-mount crankset can enjoy the same upgrade.
This new CNC-machined 7075 aluminum Shimano powermeter jaw is even 6g lighter than Rotor's own crank version, which is claimed to be just 99g. The electronics of the power meter are housed in an IP67 sealed alloy housing with a gel impact protection layer. ANT+ and Bluetooth Smart handle universal communication.
Additionally, the magnetic charging port makes charging quick and easy, with Rotor claiming to last up to 350 hours per charge.
It does this without cutting back on functionality, but instead provides an accuracy of +-15% of the combined power measurement of both legs and send power, cadence, and left-right balance to your computer. Open the app and it will show you a 360 pedal travel analysis with torque vectoring, and if you're using a Q-Ring oval crankset, it will even guide you to the best angle for the crankset.
* The Shimano Inspider is also equipped with Rotor's **MTB 100 4 BCD crankset, available in round and oval with 30 32 34 36 teeth. The chainring features Rotor's universal tooth count design and works with SRAM and Shimano's 11- and 12-speed chains.
* The Rotor Inspider Shimano power meter is available now for 8,970;Directly compatible with the latest Shimano SLX, XT and XTR direct-mount 1X crankarms.
