On February 7, the final rehearsal for the 2024 Spring Festival Gala of ** Radio and Television Station was held. The Henan kung fu boys, who were participating in rehearsals in Beijing, also tightened the last string, striving to show the innovative interpretation of the traditional Baduan Jin to the national audience on Chinese New Year's Eve.
There are a total of 88 people in the performance team of Tagou Martial Arts School participating in this performance, of which the oldest is 17 years old and the youngest is only 7 years old. It is worth mentioning that they will dedicate three programs to the CCTV Spring Festival Gala of the Year of the Dragon, including singing and dancing performances created with dragon elements, as well as innovative interpretations of traditional culture Baduanjin, and martial arts programs with dragons as the theme.
Fu Liyuan, a 7-year-old kung fu boy from Shangqiu, is the youngest student in the Spring Festival Gala team of Tagou Martial Arts School. Because he had a kung fu dream since he was a child, his parents sent him to Tagou to practice martial arts when he was 5 years old, and two years later he was selected into the school's martial arts art performance troupe with solid basic skills. "I'm good at kicking the sky and flipping back, I've seen my brothers and sisters go to the Spring Festival Gala before, and I'm very envious, so I think that I must strive for the Spring Festival Gala when I have the opportunity in the future. This year, Fu Liyuan's dream has finally come true.
Compared with Fu Liyuan, 12-year-old Liu Kuiyi is a "veteran" with rich "Spring Festival Gala experience", and this year will be his fifth appearance on the stage of CCTV Spring Festival Gala. In 2017, Liu Kuiyi, who was only 6 years old at the time, came to Tagou Martial Arts School, and soon became everyone's favorite "boss" in the performance team of Tagou Martial Arts School. In 2019, Liu Kuiyi made his debut at the Spring Festival Gala to participate in the performance of "Splendid Pear Garden"; In 2021, he will perform Tongzigong on the top of the four-story human tower with the highest difficulty coefficient in "Heroes of Heaven and Earth"; In the 2022 "Milk Tiger Roaring Spring" program, he presented a wonderful short drama as the "male number one" tiger baby; In 2023, he will participate in the Spring Festival Gala program "Performing Martial Arts". Now that he is about to go to the Spring Festival Gala for the fifth time, Liu Kuiyi will not only improve himself, but also teach some experience of the Spring Festival Gala to the younger disciples. "I will tell them the process of rehearsals, performances, precautions and other small details. Liu Kuiyi said that everyone will be nervous when they perform for the first time, but first of all, they must believe in themselves. After all, these movements and shapes have been practiced hundreds of times offstage, and as long as you focus carefully, you will not make mistakes.
Compared with the tense rhythm of rehearsals every two days in the past, since last year, the pre-rehearsal of the CCTV Spring Festival Gala has been changed to once a week. This arrangement gives the actors more time to rest and adjust. While ensuring that the team members have sufficient rest, the performance team of Tagou Martial Arts School has not relaxed the meticulous craftsmanship of the details of the program, and they often practice martial arts in the park near the station.
Kung fu is like this, practice one day for one day, and don't practice ten days for a day. From the beginning of December last year to the present, our rehearsal pursuit is to keep improving, and of course we are confident that we will perform the show well. The coach Wang Shen told reporters, "The Spring Festival Gala is the best stage to show Chinese martial arts, and we are constantly innovating in martial arts programs every year. It is hoped that this innovative interpretation of Baduanjin can bring satisfactory program effects to the national audience, so that more people will like and fall in love with martial arts. ”
