New Year's Memory

Unforgettable New Year's flavor

My hometown is in a rural market town west of Weishan Lake, and when I was a child, I was anxiously looking forward to the Chinese New Year as soon as I entered the lunar month. Because there are delicious ones during the Chinese New Year, white flour steamed buns with red dots, fatty pork stewed with vermicelli, and snow-white fragrant dumplings, you can eat enough these days, which is difficult to eat in ordinary times; Mother can also buy a plate of big thunder cannons, take it to the little friends to show off, and a group of small tails will follow.

When you drink Laba porridge and eat the dumplings on the 23rd day of the lunar month, the pace of the New Year will be faster.

From the 28th year of the year, the New Year's goods were officially made: fried peanuts, sunflowers, pumpkin seeds, croquettes, fried crispy vegetables, boiled elbows, pig's head, pork liver, after these things are ready, the mother will use a large basket to put them in a large basket and put them on the top of the cabinet out of the reach of children. Sometimes, when my mother was not at home, I would climb up on a stool and quietly put a bag on it, which would get grease stains all over my body, so my mother reprimanded me.

The real year is in the thirtieth year of Chinese New Year's Eve. In the morning, the Spring Festival couplets began to be pasted: the heart of the door, the door frame, the stove, the window, and the tree facing the gate were pasted with the word blessing and the Spring Festival couplets such as auspiciousness and peace, and going out to see joy. Then the fruit is placed on the table in the middle of the hall and sacrificed to the ancestors. In the evening, the whole family has a reunion dinner, and after eating, the dumplings are wrapped, and after the dumplings are wrapped, the knife and rolling pin are sealed with dough, and they can no longer be used on the first day of the new year.

When the first day of the Lunar New Year arrives, every family gets up early before 4 o'clock to pay New Year's greetings to their elders. Uncle led a group of young men to the north end of the street to greet the second grandfather. As soon as he entered the courtyard gate, the uncle said loudly: Second uncle, I kowtow to you. The second grandfather hurriedly greeted him and said: Come here, don't be sure! Uncle said: ** Then take a step back, fold your hands, and take out the appearance of kneeling. We're learning as we go. Just when he was about to kneel, the second grandfather grabbed the uncle's arm and dragged him up, and the uncle took advantage of the donkey to stand up and take the cigarette handed over by the second grandfather. The second grandfather grabbed peanut candy for the children again, a handful of them each. In this way, the number of homes I went to was too large, and the edge of my uncle's gray felt hat was full of cigarettes. Our children also harvested a lot, peanuts, melon seeds, candy, two pockets were full, enough to squander in a day.

At this time, the streets are full of people, like a market, adults with cigarettes in their mouths, children with peanuts in their mouths, all red and happy.

* At the end of the year, people began to go home and eat dumplings. Before eating dumplings, you should drink a bowl of brown sugar water to indicate that the beginning of the year is sweet and sweet, and then you can eat dumplings.

Eating dumplings is also very particular: the first two bowls are not edible, put on the offering table, put a pair of chopsticks, which is prepared for the ancestors. After the sacrifice, put the rest on a plate, whoever eats it, dial as much as you want, dip it in sesame oil, rice vinegar and garlic paste, the taste is absolutely wonderful!

If you're lucky, you can also get dumplings wrapped in coins, which is a sign that you will be rich in the future. It's a pity that I rarely eat it, so I'm not so rich now.

Beginning on the second day of the Lunar New Year, the girls returned to the door to pay New Year's greetings to their parents' family, and other relatives also began to move around on this day, and it was not basically over until the fifteenth day of the first lunar month. After that, spring plowing and spring planting began.

Looking back on the past Spring Festival, I feel very humane. Although the living conditions are very good now, everyone basically stops moving, and there are few New Year's greetings. It's hard to get back the joy that New Year's greetings brought when I was a child!
