Meng Qingyou, the veteran commander of the 447th Regiment of the 149th Division of the 50th Army, had already emerged during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression in the 40s of the last century, and he was the reconnaissance platoon commander of the 6th Regiment of the 2nd Brigade of the Shandong Column.
Meng Qingyou, an anti-Japanese hero, was born in 1916 in Zhailihe Village, Zhailihe Township, Juxian County, Shandong Province. In January 1938, he joined the anti-Japanese guerrillas of the Eighth Route Army.
In late May 1943, in the face of the Japanese army's "sweep" of our base area, Meng Qingyou took the initiative to ask Ying and took over the arduous task of obtaining accurate information. The reason why this task is arduous is that it is extremely difficult to conduct reconnaissance and intelligence behind enemy lines, and once it is discovered by the enemy, the consequences will be unimaginable.
Despite the ability of Meng Qingyou and his teammates, they still felt the pressure. In the early morning of the ninth day of the lunar calendar, Meng Qingyou took a soldier and disguised himself as a farmer to the market and came to Shijing Town.
From a distance, they noticed that there was a group of people watching the excitement at the gate on the south side of the town, and a notice in black and white with a red stamp was posted on the wall. The notice read: Zhu Xinzhai offered 1,200 silver dollars to arrest Meng Qingyou.
Meng Qingyou knew that this was Zhu Xinzhai, who had defected to the enemy, offered a reward for arresting him. He glanced at the warrior beside him, and then squeezed out of the crowd and walked down the street. Unfortunately, they didn't have to take a few steps before they ran into a puppet officer with a box gun at his waist.
Company Commander Hou is quite famous in the town, he is the commander of the puppet army company, surnamed Hou. One day, he was humming a small tune, and suddenly saw two people with back pockets and straw hats, one of them was tall, with a high nose bridge and a black face.
When they passed by, Company Commander Hou turned his head, looked at Meng Qingyou carefully, and suddenly pulled out his gun and shouted: "Meng Qingyou has entered the city, catch him quickly!" ”
It turned out that in a battle, Meng Qingyou, as a platoon commander, captured Company Commander Hou, and later let him back. As soon as the nearby puppet army heard the shouts of Company Commander Hou, they immediately rushed over with guns, and the crowd rushing to the market was suddenly chaotic.
Meng Qingyou and the soldiers beside him took advantage of the chaos to enter the thatched house and changed into the puppet army clothes prepared in advance, and Meng Qingyou disguised himself as a puppet army officer. Lian Commander Hou led people to chase after him for a while, but he didn't find Meng Qingyou, and he wondered in his heart: "Could it be that I saw it wrong?" ”
But on second thought, it can't be. So he ordered his men to strictly check the passers-by of the four city gates, and he carried a gun himself and led three soldiers around the market to search.
To the surprise of Company Commander Hou, Meng Qingyou actually blended into the banquet of the Japanese squadron leader Ono. Ono was convening a meeting of the leaders of the Japanese puppet army in each stronghold at that time, and in order to reward them, Ono set up a sumptuous banquet for everyone to eat and talk.
At the banquet, a tall, black-faced "pseudo-officer" sat calmly, adjacent to a Japanese squad leader. Seeing the table full of food, he smiled and signaled to the team leader, and then unceremoniously ripped off a chicken leg and feasted on it.
The Japanese puppet army officer on the side did not realize his identity, but just enjoyed the food under Ono's introduction and listened to the mission arrangement. One of the puppet officers raised his glass and said to the squad leader, "When the sweeping operation begins, the Eighth Route will run away again." ”
The tall man enjoyed his meal while keeping an eye on the conversation at the banquet. Suddenly, a Japanese officer next to him asked him, "Which unit are you from?" The tall man responded calmly: "I am the adjutant of Deputy Captain Zhu of the Stone Cliff Stronghold." ”
As he spoke, he picked up his cup and invited the Japanese officer to have another drink, which he gladly accepted.
Ono observes a strange tall "puppet army officer" and feels that he is suspicious. At this time, the tall man also noticed Ono's gaze, so he talked to the Japanese squad leader next to him, and then said loudly, "I have to go to the bathroom." ”
With that, he stood up, nodded, and left. When Ono heard the news, he went to the Japanese squad leader and asked him for his identity. The squad leader replied, "He said that he was Zhu Xinzhai's subordinate. ”
When Ono heard this, he immediately shouted: "Chase quickly, he is the eighth road, Meng Qingyou!" At this moment, the Japanese puppet soldiers in the house suddenly became very flustered, they drew their guns and prepared to chase, several puppet officers ran in front, and the Japanese squad leader shouted in the back: "He went to the toilet." ”
One of the pseudo-officers, who was running in front, kicked open the toilet door, but he didn't expect a loud noise to come from the toilet, and he was blown to the ground by a grenade. The Japanese soldiers in the back ran over to take a look, and found that the strings left behind the grenade ** were still dangling on the door frame, and the clothes of the pseudo-officers were thrown on the floor of the toilet.
The Japanese army shouted: "Eight roads have run away, chase quickly!" ”
Meng Qingyou left the hut, joined the soldiers, climbed over the wall, and ran towards the village. The Japanese puppet army dispatched dozens of people and gave hot pursuit. Meng Qingyou ran to the old locust tree at the edge of the village and blended into the crowd.
The crowd saw that the Japanese puppet army was chasing and scattered, and the Japanese puppet army shouted while shooting: "Catch it alive!" Bullets flew wildly, and the soldiers beside Meng Qingyou anxiously asked for countermeasures.
Meng Qingyou responded calmly, leaned against the wall and knocked a few times, the small door opened, and an old man let the two into the courtyard. When the old man saw Meng Qingyou, he asked with a smile, "In distress again?"
Let's hide in a burrow. Then he led them into the cave.
Meng Qingyou was besieged by the Japanese and puppet troops on the way to escape, and with his wit and bravery, he managed to escape and return to the independent battalion station. On the way, he met a puppet army company commander surnamed Hou and several puppet soldiers, he deceived them in a clever way, and successfully recovered the puppet army's **.
Although he faced a formidable enemy, he remained calm and determined, and finally succeeded in completing the mission. This story tells us that in the face of difficulties and challenges, we should hold on to our beliefs, face them bravely, and always remain calm and determined, so that we can successfully overcome them and achieve our goals.
Meng Qingyou shouted: "Come with me, or I'll shoot." So, Meng Qingyou and the two escorted Company Commander Hou back to the independent camp. After returning to the station, they immediately reported the situation of the Japanese sweep, provided valuable information, and made great contributions to the Eighth Route Army's response to the enemy.
Meng Qingyou often disguised himself as a farmer, a businessman and a puppet army in reconnaissance operations against the enemy, and even once broke into a casino late at night to capture the puppet army.
In August 1944, Meng Qingyou participated in the Heroic Model Congress of the Shandong Military Region and won the titles of "Battle Hero" and "Enemy Sharpshooter". After that, he served as the captain of the military engineering team, reconnaissance staff officer, section chief and other positions, and after the founding of the People's Republic of China, he served as the captain of the intelligence district and the head of the regiment.
In 1960, he was transferred to the Ministry of Chemical Industry as a director, and died of illness in Beijing in September 1969.
