China's third-generation independent superconducting quantum computer was launched
The reporter learned from the Anhui Provincial Quantum Computing Engineering Research Center and the Anhui Provincial Key Laboratory of Quantum Computing Chips on the 6thChina's third-generation independent superconducting quantum computer "Origin Wukong" was launched at 9 o'clock on the same day
It is understood that the quantum computer is equipped with a 72-bit independent superconducting quantum chip "Wukong Core", which is currently an advanced programmable and deliverable superconducting quantum computer. According to scientific researchers, superconducting quantum computers are quantum computers based on quantum chips with superconducting circuits. Internationally, IBM and Google quantum computers both use superconducting technology.
Dr. Kong Weicheng, deputy director of Anhui Quantum Computing Engineering Research Center, introduced"Origin Wukong" matches the third-generation quantum computing measurement and control system "Origin Heavenly Machine".The batch automated testing of quantum chips has been truly implemented, and the operation efficiency of the whole quantum computer has been greatly improved.
Dr. Jia Zhilong, deputy director of the Anhui Provincial Key Laboratory of Quantum Computing Chips, introduced that "Wukong" is equipped with a 72-bit superconducting quantum chip "Wukong Core", with a total of 198 qubits, including 72 working qubits and 126 coupler qubits.
It is understood that the superconducting quantum computer released this time is named "Wukong", which is based on the mythical character Sun Wukong in traditional Chinese culture, meaning "72 changes" like Sun Wukong.
