In the era of three children , tourism services cannot stop at one child .

The winter holiday is approaching, and the Spring Festival holiday is not far away, and tourism and vacation products on various platforms continue to be hot. The package generally regards "two large and one small" as the standard configuration of the family, and the hotel rarely has a room suitable for "a family of four", which makes the two-child family planning to travel a little distressed.

Whether it is the family package launched by some hotels, or the ** ticket of children's paradise and other places, "two large and one small" will be standard. "Two big and one small" refers to a pair of parents and a child. This phenomenon began in the "one-child" era, and there was no problem in that era, but in 2021, my country has entered the "three-child" era, and this kind of "two big and one small" tourism service is obviously very out of place.

According to the "2022 Statistical Communiqué on the Development of China's Health Undertakings" released by the National Health Commission, the number of births in the country in 2022 will be 9.56 million, and the proportion of second children will be 389%, and the proportion of three children and above is 150%。The sum of the two is more than 50%, which means that the number of one-child families has decreased, while the number of two- and three-child families has increased significantly. However, the services of tourism-related market entities are still only suitable for one-child families.

There are probably three reasons for this: First, China's fertility policy has been adjusted from one child to two children and then to three children, and the demographic situation and family population structure have undergone significant changes, but some operators in the tourism industry still have their thinking stuck before 2015 - that is, in 2015, China has proposed a comprehensive two-child policy. Even if we enter the "three-child" era, the operator is still "old-fashioned".

Second, because the proportion of one-child families is still the largest, occupying the mainstream, therefore, the main body of the tourism market is mainly this part of the consumer group, and has not yet taken the two-child and three-child families to heart. However, although the "two large and one small" service caters to the mainstream demand, it makes two- and three-child families unhappy, and then loses this part of the consumer group, which will also affect their business performance.

Third, some tourism market players are reluctant to increase investment for two-child and three-child families. For example, the design of many hotel rooms is inherited from the "one-child" era, and family suites should be provided for two-child and three-child families, not only the original area is not enough, but also the facilities such as beds must be added. Because of the need to increase investment, hotels and other tour operators lack the enthusiasm to renovate facilities and adapt to two- and three-child families.

In addition, some operators want to make more money. For example, a hotel that launched a "two large and one small" family package stipulates that taking one more child is equivalent to another package, and the cost is directly doubled. That is to say, the purpose of the hotel to design the "two big and one small" package is to charge more fees and obtain more profits in addition to the package. This naturally increases the travel cost of two- and three-child families.

Nowadays, many cities are building childbirth-friendly cities or childbirth-friendly environments, which is of positive significance for enhancing fertility intentions and promoting the long-term balanced development of the population. However, it is a pity that some tourism market players have "fallen behind", and they are outside the fertility-friendly environment, and the phenomenon of "two large and one small" in their services is undoubtedly not conducive to encouraging childbirth. This requires policy guidance and strengthened social responsibility.

Frankly speaking, the standard configuration of "two large and one small" tourism services has caused a multi-loss situation, which has not only caused inconvenience to two-child and three-child families, but also increased their travel costs, and also caused operators to lose some customers, and also adversely affected the fertility intention. In addition, practices such as "restricting the use of children" are also suspected of discrimination against two- and three-child families, and need to be corrected in accordance with the law.

In short, we are already in the age of three children, and it is time to change the "one-child rule". It is gratifying that some places have improved their "two-child thinking" and "three-child thinking".
