Knee arthroplasty is a surgery with definite efficacy, but if the success of the operation is only pinned on the surgical technique without effective training, the desired effect of the operation cannot be achieved. For knee arthroplasty, functional exercise plays an equally important role as surgery, which is related to the function and range of motion of the knee joint in the future.
Functional exercise should be mainly active activities, supplemented by passive activities. It is normal to feel pain during early activity, and you should not be afraid to move because of fear of pain, and lose the best exercise activity period, which will affect the function of the knee joint.
Massage:Massage the affected limbs from the feet and thighs (at least 5 times a day, 10 minutes each time), massage of both lower limbs can promote peripheral blood circulation and reduce thrombosis in both lower limbs.
Flexion and extension of the ankle:Do the hook up and down movements with full force (50 to 100 reps a day, each lasting 3-5 seconds).
Knee extension exercises:The healthy leg is flexed, the affected limb is fully straightened, and the family members press down hard to make the knee joint of the affected limb close to the bed as close as possible (exercise 1 set every two hours, repeat 3 times, each time lasting 5 minutes).
Straight Leg Raise Exercise:Extend the knee to keep the knee straight, raise the heel up to 10 15 cm above the bed (hold for 5-7 seconds, repeat 30 50 times, 3 4 times a day).
Flexion and straightening exercises:Sit on the edge of the bed with both calves hanging naturally, perform flexion exercises, gradually increasing the angle of flexion, and family members can help push the patient's ankles (dangling for 10 to 20 minutes every 2 hours). Sit on the edge of the bed and straighten the calf (the thigh does not leave the bed), and lift the calf until the knee joint is fully straightened (after the operation, the weight is 1 2 kg in 1 month, and the straightening exercise is done until the calf is completely straight).
Walk on crutches and get out of bed and walk:When standing, try to tense the affected limb to make sure the knee is fully straight, and when walking, try to bring the affected limb on stage to fully flex the knee.
In the process of exercising, if you have any questions or questions, please contact the doctor in charge in time to get the correct guidance.
