Duckduckgo, a privacy search engine and browser company, updated its browser product on Wednesday (February 14) to allow users to sync bookmarks and passwords across different devices without logging into their accounts.
The DuckDuckGo browser, which already allows users to import bookmarks and passwords from other browsers into DuckduckGo, is new this week by allowing bookmarks and passwords on DuckduckGo to sync with DuckduckGo browsers on other devices without having to register or log in to that browser.
Duckduckgo points out that when using Chrome, users are likely to be logged into a Google account, mainly because Google often asks users to sign in, which is convenient enough to log in to get their bookmarks or passwords at any time, the only downside is that it allows Google to collect more data about the user's activity and use it to serve targeted ads.
DuckDuckGo, on the other hand, provides a privacy sync and backup function, allowing users to sync bookmarks and passwords stored on the browser on different devices, backup passwords and bookmarks, or migrate them to a new device, without logging in at all, supporting Android, iOS, Windows and macOS platforms.

This function can be used to connect different devices by scanning a 2D barcode or entering a string, and after the synchronization is completed, the backup Recovery PDF can also be stored in a safe place, and the recovery PDF can be used to access the synchronized data when the device is lost or damaged.
