In the People's Liberation Army, there are many fathers and sons who are generals, such as Zhang Zongxun and Zhang Youxia, Zhang Zhen and Zhang Haiyang, and Liu Peishan and Major General Qin Jiwei.
Today we are going to share the story of a father and son with three generals, their father was the founding major general, and the two sons also became major generals, of which the second son is very well-known, they are Jin Rubai father and son.
So, what are the life experiences of General Jin Rubai? And who are his two sons?
Jiangxi is the cradle of the revolution, during the agrarian revolution, Jin Rubai was born in Yongfeng, Jiangxi, influenced by revolutionary ideas, he joined the revolution very early. In 1930, at the age of 21, he joined the Red Army and served as the head of the Receiving and Sending Unit of the Political Department of the Red Third Army, and soon after was transferred to the Political Department of the Third Independent Regiment of the Jiangxi Military Region as the director.
Jin Rubai participated in the Long March with the Second Red Army, and he continued to grow and progress on the road of revolution.
In 1937, when the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression broke out, Jin Rubai's unit was reorganized into the 120th Division of the Eighth Route Army, and he was appointed as the director of the Political Department of the 716th Regiment of the 358th Brigade, responsible for the political propaganda work in the regiment.
When he first entered the northwest of Shanxi, the surrounding masses did not know much about the Eighth Route Army, so Jin Rubai went deep among the masses, took the initiative to publicize the Eighth Route Army to them, and mobilized more than 1,000 young people to join the army, which effectively promoted the development of the Eighth Route Army in the northwest of Shanxi.
During the War of Liberation, Jin Rubai served as the political commissar of the Third Independent Brigade of the Jinsui Field Army, continued to engage in political work in the Northwest Military Region, and experienced the birth of New China.
After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Jin Rubai was appointed as the political commissar of the 13th Army of the People's Liberation Army, and made a lot of basic work for consolidating the border defense in the southwest region. At the 1955 award ceremony, Jin Rubai was awarded the rank of major general and became a founding major general.
Later, he was transferred to the Kunming Military Region and served as the second political commissar of the Kunming Military Region, assisting Commander Qin Jiwei in commanding and managing the Kunming Military Region, and promoting the modernization and regularization of the PLA.
During the special period of ten years, Jin Rubai was greatly shocked, and in 1967 he was removed from all positions and imprisoned. As a general of the Red Second Front led by **, while he was in captivity, some people tried to encourage him to write false materials to get his release.
However, with his firm principle and noble character, Jin Rubai always insisted on not writing false materials, adhered to his moral bottom line, and showed his tenacious and unyielding will and noble personality.
Jin Rubai once told the case-handling staff that if he scribbled irresponsibly, he would need to implement the policy one by one in the future, adding a lot of trouble to the organization. It can be seen from this that Jin Rubai is not only a principled person with a bottom line, but also always focuses on the organization.
In 1972, he regained his freedom, and in 1977, he was transferred to artillery, where he served as political commissar. In 1984, Jin Rubai died of illness at the age of 75.
General Jin Rubai's two sons are both major generals, the eldest son Jin Yiming was the director of the Political Department of the Military Training and Arms Department of the General Staff, and the second son Jin Yinan is more famous.
Jin Yinan, with the rank of major general, was born in 1952, joined the army at the age of 20, and later served as the director of the Institute of Strategic Studies of the National Defense University.
In 2009, Jin Yinan was named "an advanced model figure who has made significant contributions to national defense and army building after the founding of the People's Republic of China".
At the same time, he, like his father and elder brother, also has the rank of major general. One class and three generals fully demonstrate the fine family style of "tiger father without dog", and people have to praise Jin Rubai's education.
