The engine of the R8 GT is almost identical to that of the R8 LMS car, except that the R8 LMS has been adapted to the rules of the event. Compared to the 562 hp of the RWD model, the engine of the R8 GT has been upgraded by Audi Sport GmbH engineers to 602 hp, which is on par with the R8 Performance Quattro.
Not only does the R8 GT's engine boast a unique sound, but it also has a maximum rev of up to 8700 rpm and delivers 565 Nm of torque, allowing the supercar to run at 3It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4 seconds and reaches a top speed of 321 km/h.
The R8 GT has also developed a specially developed Torque Rear driving mode for more precise and controlled oversteer on the track. The R8 GT demonstrates a smooth transition from racing to production and is a testament to Audi's strong connection to the race.
The R8 GT is a limited-edition supercar with only 333 units. Standard equipment on the supercar includes a carbon fibre front stabilizer bar, forged wheels, carbon-ceramic brake discs, a modified short-ratio gearbox, and exclusive exterior and interior logos.
The R8 GT we're going to introduce is car number 19, with a rare Merlin purple paint job with carbon fibre accents, and an interior in black leather and synthetic suede accented with red stitching and carbon fibre inlays.
