At 10:30 on February 7, with the opening of the lanes of the Qinglonghu toll station one by one, the western section of Jingliang Road was officially opened to traffic. In the future, citizens can drive from the Beijing-Kunming Expressway to Beijing, and they can go directly to the West Fifth Ring Road along the Beijing-Kunming Liaison Line and Jingliang Road, which can save about 30 minutes.

The western section of Jingliang Road (Beijing-Kunming Liaison Line - Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao Expressway) project is an important part of the Chengnan Action Plan. The construction of the project realizes the rapid connection between the fifth ring road and the sixth ring road in the southwest, providing a fast passage for residents in Fangshan Liangxiang Group, Fengtai Hexi and other areas to enter and exit the central city, greatly alleviating the traffic pressure in and out of the central city in the southwest region, and will play an important role in the improvement of the regional transportation network, social and economic development, industrial structure adjustment, and improving the quality of life of residentsIt is also of great significance to expand the urban development space and realize the overall development strategic goals of Beijing.

The west section of Jingliang Road project starts from the east side of the Sixth Ring Road in the west, connects with the main line toll station of the current Beijing-Kunming Liaison Line, and connects with the current Jingliang Expressway in the east to the west side of the Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao Expressway, with a total length of about 373 km. The main road of the western section of Jingliang Road is constructed according to the standard of urban expressway, with two-way six lanes. The auxiliary road is constructed in accordance with the standard of urban secondary trunk roads, with two-way four lanes. 1 diamond-shaped interchange is set up across Liang 3rd Road on the whole line, connecting the auxiliary road of Jingliang Road and the current Liang3rd Road; Two semi-diamond-shaped interchanges are set up across the Yakniu River and planned Xiwangzuo Road, which are connected to Nangong South Road and Xiwangzuo Road respectively.

After the project is completed and opened to traffic, about 20 kilometers can be saved from Fangshan Yanshan and Qinglonghu areas to Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao Expressway and South Fifth Ring Road, which greatly facilitates the travel of surrounding citizens.
